I replaced mine with two 9044 bungees per side. One each was a bit soft, two worked just fine.

Anything from Aircraft Spruce will be fine. It is the cheap hardware stores where there is a problem.

My apologies - the bungee cords I ised are not from the dollar store. I purchased them from aircraft spruce aviation store but they are not "certified". They sell both but come from the same supplier.

I would strongly recommend getting the original cord from the manufacturer. So many have tried with hardware store bungee but it is just not suitable. You cannot fit shock absorbers on the Hanuman

I have lost my fuel cap. It looks like a plumbing fitting but I'm sure it's metric and that is a rare thing in my part of the USA.? Is there a source for a replacement?

I just replaced mine with 10mm non certified bungee cords. No need to order the chords from the factory unless you want to pay 200% mark up and have to wait 2+ weeks. I got mine locally for 25$CDN

You should order new bungee from xair dealer. The dealer for Europe is Randkar company located in France. I did That recently. It is rather hard to install the new bungee it is two mans job but
