Can I Suspend a Member? 4
Is it possible to suspend a group member, so that they cannot read or post messages, without canceling the membership and later remove the suspension (or suspend for a stated time period)? If so, how can I do that. Thanks, Dave Cahn

He received my original post; and my reply, sent using the regular ¡°Reply¡± feature, resulted in the following error message. I made no changes in either address or header. I will also attempt to forward the same error message directly to Malcolm, and see if it goes through. Again, the address and header will be left alone. Twice, I attempted to reply to your group concerning email replies that comeback as undeliverable. Apparently, there is some sort of issue with the site itself. I enter the address _correctly in an initial post, create and send the message, and sometimes it goes through. But,when people in the group reply to me, the group address either doesn¡¯t show as [email protected], or it shows the name of the person who replied, but makes it appear that this person is a group. Then, if I reply to the reply, that reply comes back as undeliverable more often than not. If I am replying to a reply, the group address should go in correctly, but apparently does not. Also, even though I carefully and clearly entered my email address when creating my groups.io account, it shows incorrectly when people reply, replacing @ with =, and making it appear that I, or the recipient, am a group rather than a person. So, please stop accusing me of entering the wrong address for your group, when I didn¡¯t do so. The address somehow got shuffled when someone replied to me; or, it somehow got shuffled when I sent a reply, using the regular ¡°Reply¡± feature in mail. I did _not enter it is [email protected], as some have accused me of doing. And, in addition, this doesn¡¯t solve the similar issue I¡¯m having with the iDevices group ([email protected]). And, to elaborate on my reply to the question of whether I use the website or the app: I send email via Apple Mail, which is, in fact, a native app on all Apple devices and Mac computers. When, for whatever reason, I need to access my groups.io account, I do it from the website. I had never heard of a groups.io app, and don¡¯t know if it would benefit me, as I am not a premium member. With all of the issues I¡¯m having with groups.io as of late, and then being falsely accused of entering wrong addresses, I¡¯m almost ready to delete my account which, unfortunately, will end my relationship with a number of groups in which I am a participant, and will also mean the end of a group I moderate. Let¡¯s get to the core of this, so that hopefully these unfortunate things won¡¯t need to happen..

I belong to¡ªand moderate one¡ªseveral groups associated with groups.io. The only one with which I seem to be having an issue is called [email protected]. Sometimes, when I reply to a post in that group, the message goes through just fine. At other times, within a few minutes after sending it, the reply comes back as undeliverable. Unfortunately, the file that is supposed to explain the problem doesn¡¯t come up when I click it; but, what I can determine is that it says that the group with the recipient¡¯s name doesn¡¯t exist. All of us in [email protected] are members of one group. It is not divided into sub-groups, and it is a free group. Other members, as far as I know, are not having this issue. I don¡¯t use any weird email settings; and my account isn¡¯t bouncing, as I receive all email messages that are sent to groups.io and not to a specific member off list. Any idea as to what might be going on, and what I can do about it? When the replies come back, I have to re-formulate them and send them off list to a specific member.

Member not receiving message notifications 10
We have one member in our group who is not currently receiving message notifications. She used to receive them but is not receiving any longer. All of her settings seem correct and are identical to other members who do receive the notifications. We tried removing her from the group, rejoining groups.io and then rejoining our group and that did not help. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you, Drew

This may sound silly, but I have a member that for some strange reason is getting an error message when trying to send mail. Below is copied from the mms word document she shared showing the issues she is asking about, and my group isn't set up as what it shows but is set up as restricted needing to reply to a message that is sent out. There was a problem delivering your message to [email protected]. Contact the remote server administrator for details. The response from the remote server was: 500 This is an announcement group and only moderators can post to it.

I manage four paid groups.io accounts, and sometimes my people don¡¯t get messages that we send out, and I know that their e-mail addresses are correct, because I can send to them throughoutlook. What can either I or they do to fix this bouncing problem? How do I check the activity of an individual?

Hi everyone! First. I am totally blind and use a screen reader, so I apologize if I don't describe things in visual terms, the right way. Now. Here's my question. Is there a way to save a draft on groups.io while you're writing your message? All I see are "send" and "discard." The "more" button just gives font options. When I hit CTRL+S, I get a dialogue box asking me to save the whole Web page. Am I missing something?

bulk invites to subgroups via a single email 2
I'm new to Groups.IO I have created several Subgroups. Now I want to send a single email from a separate email system (ie not from Groups.IO) to ~500 recipients. I want the email to have multiple join links, one for each subgroup. Clicking on a link would automatically add that person as a member to that subgroup. ie something like: Select 'link-1' if you would like to join the group 'SubGroup-1' Select 'link-2' if you would like to join the group 'SubGroup-2' Select 'link-3' if you would like to join the group 'SubGroup-3' etc. Is this possible or is there an alternative way to send bulk invites to subgroups via a single email. ga.rae@...

In 2 out of 3 groups I belong to, I can send to all of these 3: But in one of these groups, I can only respond to Sender (even on threads I started). Is this a permissions issue? How do I resolve this? Others in this group have no problem responding to the group. Thank you!

Hello all When I go to the admin tab and look at the number of members in a group, 195 is displayed. When I go to the group's home page, only 179 members are shown under group information. What would be the reason for the discrepancy? Thanks! Lynne

Hi Folks, Can anyone explain why ONE member of a group of 400-plus members can't send a reply to any post I make? From: mailer-daemon@... To: (group member) This is an automatically generated delivery Status Notification. Delivery to the following recipient/s failed permanently: (my email @groups.io) Reason: Permanent Error" No issues with her replying to other group members, no issues with emailing me directly (not going through groups.io), and apparently it's been happening since she joined the group. Her email provider is Comcast, and the "Permanent Error" sent to her is coming from Comcast, but I have no way to know if the issue is with the address in groups.io being undeliverable for some reason, or if her reply is failing some internal Comcast thing because of the address she's trying to send to. Other members with Comcast not reporting any issues (though most of those are not really active anyway... maybe this is why?) I don't do business with Comcast, so getting any kind of support from them is unlikely, and everything I've checked in my account settings seems fine. Nobody else is having problems replying to my posts, Comcast or otherwise. Just not sure what direction to head in with this! Thanks for any suggestions! Karl
