Here is an error message I received this morning, after attempting to reply to Malcolm’s reply to me. ?He received my original post; ?and my reply, sent using the regular “Reply” feature, resulted in the following error message. ?I made no changes in either address or header. ?I will also attempt to forward the same error message directly to Malcolm, and see if it goes through. ?Again, the address and header will be left alone.

Okay; I just attempted to reply to Stephen, using the regular “Reply” tab, and everything appeared correct. ?However, within minutes I received the error message appearing below. ?But, ahead of that, here is the reply I attempted to send, and which prompted the error message.

Not sure what you are talking about. ?I use Apple Mail, and am clueless as to host; not sure what that is. ?I am _not using Reply All; only Reply. ?I’m also just noticing something else that’s a bit strange. ?While this doesn’t appear on _this email, I occasionally receive one that, up in the area where the “To” field, the “From” field, the CC/BCC line, etc. is found, there will be a line that says “Reply to …” followed by the email address, which is a link. ?Clicking this link seems to begin a new post, rather than a reply to a previous one. ?I routinely use the regular “Reply” tab instead. ?What’s the deal here?

For a baseline I, too, use Appld Mail on my phone and ipad — not on a Mac. ?On my PC I use Outlook?

When you say, “tab”, I don't have any “reply” or other tab?in my Mail user interface on my phone or pad.?

On what device(s) are you using Apple Mail? ?Be specific.?

Which iOS version?

When you say “regular “, it's not that helpful because, well, when it comes to email no one knows what “regular” means. ?Are you tapping the reply back?ARROW in Mail or tapping the “Reply to Group” link in the footer of the message? ?Or something else - please be specific and/or include a screenshot.?

I know you're frustrated abd we are all here to help you resolve this, not to battle with you. ?Keep in mind that this is a volunteer user-to-user help group and have ZERO formal relationships with Groups.io. ? If we can't resolve the issue here we can suggest you go a more formal route and report it to “the management” ??

I didn't follow all of the previous responses, so apologies if this idea was offered earlier, but Ken's use of the links in message footers offers another path for possibly isolating the problem.

?

Pam: You might try responding to people through the "Reply" (or "Reply All") option at the end of messages (footer that starts "Groups.io Links:") to see if using that replay option also causes the problem you're having with responding through Apple Mail. If using that option does NOT produce the same problem, at least you'd have a way to respond to messages until you can identify a solution to the issue with Apple Mail.
