This may sound silly, but I have a member that for some strange reason is getting an error message when trying to send mail. Below is copied from the mms word document she shared showing the issues she is asking about, and my group isn't set up as what it shows but is set up as restricted needing to reply to a message that is sent out. There was a problem delivering your message to [email protected]. Contact the remote server administrator for details. The response from the remote server was: 500 This is an announcement group and only moderators can post to it.

Messages bouncing

I manage four paid groups.io accounts, and sometimes my people don¡¯t get messages that we send out, and I know that their e-mail addresses are correct, because I can send to them throughoutlook. What can either I or they do to fix this bouncing problem? How do I check the activity of an individual?

Hi everyone! First. I am totally blind and use a screen reader, so I apologize if I don't describe things in visual terms, the right way. Now. Here's my question. Is there a way to save a draft on groups.io while you're writing your message? All I see are "send" and "discard." The "more" button just gives font options. When I hit CTRL+S, I get a dialogue box asking me to save the whole Web page. Am I missing something?

bulk invites to subgroups via a single email

I'm new to Groups.IO I have created several Subgroups. Now I want to send a single email from a separate email system (ie not from Groups.IO) to ~500 recipients. I want the email to have multiple join links, one for each subgroup. Clicking on a link would automatically add that person as a member to that subgroup. ie something like: Select 'link-1' if you would like to join the group 'SubGroup-1' Select 'link-2' if you would like to join the group 'SubGroup-2' Select 'link-3' if you would like to join the group 'SubGroup-3' etc. Is this possible or is there an alternative way to send bulk invites to subgroups via a single email. ga.rae@...

Is there a way to delete more than one photo at a time...or a setting that says "save photos for ___ of days"?

Unable to respond to group

In 2 out of 3 groups I belong to, I can send to all of these 3: But in one of these groups, I can only respond to Sender (even on threads I started). Is this a permissions issue? How do I resolve this? Others in this group have no problem responding to the group. Thank you!

Number of members

Hello all When I go to the admin tab and look at the number of members in a group, 195 is displayed. When I go to the group's home page, only 179 members are shown under group information. What would be the reason for the discrepancy? Thanks! Lynne

Dear helper, I cannot find where/how to send a Special Notice email. I have been sending my weekly newsletter as a Special Notice for years but a few weeks ago I dont seem to be able to do this any more? Has this option been removed? How do I get rid of 'Your request to join the Deep Spring Center Prayer Group'. This is being automatically included in the email subject line. The subject should be Testing subject line. I can't find how to delete it. Thank you, Tana Dean

Hi Folks, Can anyone explain why ONE member of a group of 400-plus members can't send a reply to any post I make? From: mailer-daemon@... To: (group member) This is an automatically generated delivery Status Notification. Delivery to the following recipient/s failed permanently: (my email @groups.io) Reason: Permanent Error" No issues with her replying to other group members, no issues with emailing me directly (not going through groups.io), and apparently it's been happening since she joined the group. Her email provider is Comcast, and the "Permanent Error" sent to her is coming from Comcast, but I have no way to know if the issue is with the address in groups.io being undeliverable for some reason, or if her reply is failing some internal Comcast thing because of the address she's trying to send to. Other members with Comcast not reporting any issues (though most of those are not really active anyway... maybe this is why?) I don't do business with Comcast, so getting any kind of support from them is unlikely, and everything I've checked in my account settings seems fine. Nobody else is having problems replying to my posts, Comcast or otherwise. Just not sure what direction to head in with this! Thanks for any suggestions! Karl

Photos in Email are Resized... Despite Setting??

Fellow Groupers - I have a mystery. Photos in emails to our group are being resized to 640 pixels, despite our setting to ¡°Resize to 2048 pixels.¡± (I¡¯m only interested in email deliveries, most all our subscribers use the group through email, not the web) Here¡¯s that panel in my settings (screenshot): Our text: Sending photos of 2000 pixels and 1340 pixels get resized to 640. Changing a list member's e-mail address

I¡¯m the owner of a pro groups.io account, and need to update the e-mail addresses of several of my people. I go into the main group, go to admin and members, search for the member with the edit box, hit enter on their name, and find the e-mail address and delete it, then enter the new address and go down to the save button and hit enter on that. But when I go back in to check if their e-mail address has been updated, it¡¯s still the old one. I¡¯m doing something wrong here. Any help gratefully accepted.

Is there a way to set GLOBAL settings or CHANGE the settings for multiple sub-roups at the same time?

I have our main group up and running and have created a number of sub-groups for teams and unique situations. It seems that the more I learn about Groups.io and understand the features, I want to go back and change settings for some of my groups, but not all. The issue is that now I must manually go to each sub-group and make all of those unique changes for each individual sub-group. I've seen this elsewhere in the past as GLOBAL settings, or an option to SET SETTINGS and then APPLY TO ALL or APPLY TO SELECTED. Any help wold be appreciated ¨C this is a feature-rich environment. Threads splitting in email box

Hi All, With some regularity, our email threads act as though they are split. For example, we had a thread about tile in our group. It's got 17 replies and if I log into our groups.io dashboard, it's all one thread. But for the several people on the thread, it has now split in our email and is acting like 3 different threads. Anyone know what might be causing this and how to avoid / fix it? Thanks, Sydney

a redundant site

Hi all sorry i do not post often on this Group as i am a member of a lot of IO groups but i have recently joined a group that has 12 members but has only ever had 2 postings that is one when the group was set up about 5 years ago and the one i sent when i joined about 2 weeks ago someone must have approved my membership but unfortunately when emailing the owner I get no replies is there a way i can take over the sight as it appears to be a redundant site Regards Paul

hello, i would like to change the name of our group. It seems that doing so causes a lot of issues and many pages no longer open up. Is there a way to change a group name easily without interfering with any of the pages in the group?

Is there a reason that the Group_Help archive, and even the Group_Help Homepage, is not visible unless you are already a member?

I joined because I wanted to check out something I seem to recall having been asked in the past, but could not do so. When I use Find or Create a Group to locate Group_Help, and click on the link to the homepage, this is what displayed until I just now joined: Yet if one looks on the Group_Help homepage, it says this: I cannot so much as see the group home page prior to having joined, so something's up. I definitely can't visit the archives page: /g/Group_Help/topics without being subscribed, either. It gives the same banner message about not being a member as trying to view the group home page does.
