I had it working fairly well but now, suddenly - something has happened so as my IC7300 is transmitting the tone, the radio releases the PTT , pauses and reengages the PTT and continues!? I read https://sourceforge.net/p/fldigi/wiki/IC7300_CW_howto/ and followed the instructions for using FLRIG and FLDIGI together but it's just not working like it used to. It used to trigger the transmitter and FlDigi would pulse its tones and once finished - it'd switch back to receive mode.. I don't believe I used to have to enable break-in or full break-in.. If I don't do that now - then I can HEAR the tone but it is never transmitted. Any suggestions?

Hi all, I am trying to connect my Jupiter to FLRig v2.0.05 on Win11. The connection is USB. I know the connection works. I have used it successfully with Winlink RMS Trimode. I tried the 'standard' config that comes up when I click on TT-538. All baud is 57600. 1 Stop bit RTS/CTS on RTS +12v on DTR +12 v off I tried the connection that works in Trimode RTS on DTR on Has anyone gotten their Jupiter to connect with this USB connection? Setup: Icom ic7700. Interface rigexpert TI5000. hello. it only outputs tone and power, without shift. I am on the settings of another device. the macros are functional with another station. the rigexpert TI5000 interface creates 4 ports. (fsk/ptt/cat/cw). the sound card is identified, I tried the 3 possibilities. I tried the cat with hamlib and rigcat. fsk modem I give it the fsk port. Please give me a hint, if I think the right way: IC 720A has a classic PTT-input (a switch at the mike) and a morse key input. It supports VOX. Here are my thoughts, how to connect them: For RTTY: - using the soundcard is simple and already working. - how do I manage the PTT? Why not use the ?VOX“-function, that switch the tx on, when there is a signal from the soundcard? Will that be working? But for CW: - sound RX already working fine. - how is the keying done? Does fldigi use "1000 Hz on right soundcard output“ for CW-Keying? Is the 1000Hz-signal the signal for morse output? PTT looks quite similar to my morse key interface. When I use ?VOX“ in CW-MODE the IC720 switches to ?send“. I just hit the key and transmittion starts. WrapUP: Can I manage it like this: For RTTY: Use solely the VOX-function. Nothing else. For CW: Build a 1000Hz-interface and connect it to the morse key input? I did not find an info (that I understood :-)) in 500 pages of docu. vy 73 Mike | DL1MKP

Hope somebody can help me with specific settings for me to get FLRIG working with my DigiRig Mobile and IC-7000 transceiver. Laptop is a W10 Netbook, and WSJT-X works fine. Trying to get FLRIG working so I can link to HAMRS to use for POTA activations. In XCVR setup Rig is IC-7000, Com4, Baud 9600, 2 Stop Bits. When I click Init it says Transceiver not responding. Not sure of correct settings here or PTT-Generic which I currently have BOTH CAT, SET RTS, OFF DTR and no check boxes. That doesn't work. INIT comes up Transceiver not responding. Help please. My Fldigi has stopped clearing the entry windows when I log a contact. The contact logs but the data remains. Easy fix is manual erase but would like to have the convenience back of log-clear in the same step. Am not finding a setting that affects this in the manual, the reflector or in Fldigi- config or Fldigi-Logbook. Have View>Rig/Log Controls on Full but doubt that should have an effect. -- Karl K0CIE

Mostly addressed to Dave (W1HKJ) but also looking for others experiences: Scenario: I am now running current alphas of fldigi and flrig (autostarted) on a gamer Win11 workstation, but have seen this issue going back several "final" releases and on a Win10 workstation. I use multiple instances of fldigi talking to a single instance of flrig because flrig can do KISS protocol and can control a single rig for multiple instances of fldigi looking at that rigs sound CODEC stream. Before the "frequent commentators" ask, I have had poor luck setting up the other rig control engine because they either did not work at all for my use case or were a mess to configure. I have seen the problem with the other control engines. I will be using flrig. I can start a single instance of fldigi with flrig and they will close out normally most always. The trouble does start after long (days) running the apps. When two or more instances are running with or without flrig, I can almost always shut down the second instances, but the primary instance will shut down (autostarted) flrig but then hang and require one the "messy exit" routines to kill the hung process. This problem happens very often as quickly as 15 minutes or less after the programs are started. Quite a while ago I tried capturing the hang event unsuccessfully - probably because the hang suspended the debug logging writes? @Dave: What is best way to log this event when it happens? @All: have you seen this same scenario when running multiple instances of fldigi either with separate instances of flrig (as in for two different radios) or a single instance of flrig hosting multiple instances of fldigi? correction...correction i copies and pasted wrong info.. here is correct.. jim i noticed a problem with wsjt-x and flrig with my ic7300 sometimes when i switch to a different config i had saved... wsjt-x would not connect with rig ctl...it wanted me to reconfig rig ctl... after looking over my wsjt-x settings...i noticed that rig settings looked different. some rig settings were.. fd\Configuration\Rig=FLRig FLRig and some rig settings showed.. Default\Configuration\Rig=FLRig IC-7300(FLRig) fix... i loaded the lastest wsjt-x 2-7-0 updated hamlib.. then removed flrig before i reloaded it...same level..2-0-05 deleted all my configs...then created all new ones... all the rig settings now show Rig=FLRig IC-7300(FLRig) jim wa4yiz

On http://mail.w1hkj.com/FldigiHelp/OFDM_page.html it lists 8 OFDM modes. Only 3 are actually available in the software. How do I access the remaining 5 modes?

Need a little help setting up my Xiegu G90 for PSK. I tried FLRIG to key the radio but no transmit. I am using a SignaLink USB. Rig control is COM 16 and TX is COM 4. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. -- 73's de NU4N
