High SWR causing "Bypass SWR" error when in STBY
My LA-1K has developed an issue in the internal SWR protect circuit. When I key the amplifier in STBY mode with only 10 watts drive, the amplifier sees a HIGH SWR on the output and the internal

Re: PTT not working
Raul,
So sorry I got confused.. now I can clearly see you were referring to "SEND" (requiring a switching diode) within the ACC socket that I'd connected nothing to it as can be seen in the photo I

I wanted to use pin-3 of the 13pin plug for send and noticed this a while
back. It was weeks after I saw when I finally got the radios set up. Ive
got a big workload going on and getting confused

Re: PTT not working
Just curious, Raul, which of the IC-7300 books mentions the need of a diode across the PTT line, when using the "SEND" jack?
The IC-7300 Basic Manual mentions on page 2-5 under Warning!: " The

Re: Amp PTT TX key PTT dead?
Hi Raul,
I an the owner of an LA-1K that had a similar issue you have experienced.
As Ron WA2EIO just mentioned the RCA jacks are mounted (secured only via
solder connections) to the circuit board.

good info all around, and same for the other responses.
I was doing my classic overthinking and making sure I didnt damage the
IC-7300.
I opened up the amp and nudged connectors and a bit and

Re: Amp PTT TX key PTT dead?
Great that you got it working!?? Enjoy the amp.
I seem to remember reading that the RCA jacks are board mounted, and not actually mounted to the back metal panel, so something might be

Re: Amp PTT TX key PTT dead?
Yeah Ive had that duck phrase in mind before....
Palstar told me to open it up and look around for a loose connection (due
to shipping shocks)
I didnt see any, moved a few things around, and it

Re: PTT not working
Raul,
Kent brings up a good point; you can only have one cable connected, either the PTT line to the rig or the 13 pin DIN line.
If I may suggest a simple troubleshooting suggestion, in case you have

Re: Amp PTT TX key PTT dead?
Well...if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it's probably a
duck. Amp is defective.
No charge for this assessment...

Re: PTT not working
Hi Raul,
I have just paired my LA-1K with my IC-7300 to let you see and hear them in action on 20M via this short video clip https://youtu.be/jQYr0s6ykUE.? Btw, I don't normally pair my IC-7300 with

Re: PTT not working
Raul ...
I should add that a band-data line is not necessarily required. The first application of RF will set the correct band change in the amplifier.? Band-data capability is there, however,

Re: PTT not working
Raul ...
Are you sure you have your cabling correct?
If there is a PTT line in the interface cable coming from the 7300, it must be connected to pin 7 (Amp Key In) of the amp's XCVR Interface jack.

PTT not working
I just set up the radio desk with a 2022 LA-1K and HF-Auto both purchased
used, pristine. This was 2 months ago.
I connected to the IC-7300 via the 13pin plug and the PTT RCA connector on
the amp. It
