The button is used when firmware upgrading, and that is why it is right next to the USB connector.?? That procedure in outlined on page 8 of the (online)? manual under "How to Update."
Make sure the touch screen "Mode" in in 'OPR' not 'STBY.'
Make sure the RCA cable you are using for PTT is good.
