Being able to use throttles means that JMRI is talking to the command station. Perhaps it¡¯s not the problem, but you can confirm Loconet by triggering some messages from the remote boards: A short

F! as Bell is the standard in the US. In Europe, F1 turns on the sound, (same as F8 in the US). If you have an EU Lok, the defaults are very different. No assumptions, read the function pane to see

Bob, I did have a fight with the CAT5 cable and Rj12 connectors I was using. Last night I scrapped all of that and re-installed all new using the flat grey satin RJ12 wire everyone recommends. Double

Jim, I think if the question you¡¯re asking is where does the bell sound go, then the answer, theoretically, is nowhere. It¡¯s still assigned to the same CV on the decoder, unless you¡¯ve replaced

Check your LocoNet connections. What you describe is consistent with the connection between JMRI and the command being OK, but something preventing LocoNet connections beyond the command station to

I would ask if this had been tried with 4.12. As in the release notes, any layout prior to 4.12 should be updated to 4.12 first (and run) before updating past 4.12. Running would include saves of any
