Re: problem with dispatcher
Hi Luc
Make sure you have good occupancy detection. You can try: Use large values for debounce off in sensors. Use stop by speed profile. Use Internal stopping sensors. Internal sensors that are set X seconds after entry to block (actions in transits) Hope that helps. Steve G. |

Re: Zimo MX10 support
Well a few years later, and about to revisit this.
I have an M10, and run outdoors, so the connection needs to be Ethernet. I have been able to use the Roco android app to control trains, so the ZCAN20 must be working over Ethernet So all I need is JMRI to be able to direct that protocol over Ethernet. So how do I do this? Greg |
Extracted fine for me in Windows 8 using PKzip. Maybe bad download of the zip file?

Oh I trust you.? I was just making a suggestion to see if the speed table issue could be figured out or resolved. Then he can do what he pleases.

Dave, It depends.
Reading thru the three existing? DecoderPro definition file for MTH . Early version decoder was Reset : CV55 = 55 on program track only The next decoder revision has this : In OPS MODE ONLY? (Program on Main mode) Reset All CV's : CV8 = 8 Reset ALL CV's except Speed Table : CV8 = 192 Reset Volumes, Smoke, and Lioght settings: CV8 =64 Reset Address : CV8 = 128 On Program Track only (Service Mode) RESET? all CV's : CV55 = 55 Marc |

Marc, I've worked with them since they have been around. Trust me, the instability makes setting them up, just not worth the effort if they do not get upgraded. One short circuit and they revert to defaults and only last as long as the next short. Nick Kulp "I'm not a failure. I started at the bottom and I found it easily attainable. Re: False "Online" with DecoderPro
Not a problem with Digitrax, it is a problem with JMRI who does not poll and confirm the Digitrax Command Station is present or not ,for what reason I do not know.?
I have a Locobuffer-USB, Digitrax PR3, PR4, Locobuffer-Serial and none of them cause me grief for as long as I have had them. They all connect to either of my two DCS100's or Zephyr on demand with the proper setup. And I have jumped and leapped between Windows versions and JMRI versions back and forth. I was simply pointing out that a wrong setup in JMRI? can lead you down a wrong trail. Heck if you define? System Manufacturer as "NONE" and System Connection as "No connection" in Preferences, both Service and OPS mode programming show up GREEN (JMRI 4.17.6). Marc? |

开云体育I agree this is a problem with Digitrax.? I tried for 5 weeks to get past the 306 error with my PR3 and could never do it despite the green indicators on the bottom of the page (and all the sage advice from those of you on this forum).? I also could never get the Digitrax software drivers to associate with the C0M port so eventually I gave up and bought an NCE Power Cab and USB interface.? The driver downloaded, associated with COM 4 immediately, and the system has worked like a charm ever since. ? Jim ? From: [email protected] <[email protected]> On Behalf Of

What is nice about JMRi and NCE is that the NCE system is polled for a response and will eventualy time out if no response then both Service mode and OPS mode will go from GREEN to RED as unavailable This is not the case with several other systems.? Other systems, as long as the Com port is valid (and present), they are happy even thou nothing might be at end of cable.? The indications will be GREEN.? Perfect example is JMRI and Digitrax. the Command Station is not polled.? Set Preferences to a valid port that, unfortunately, does not have the Command Station at the end of it, you get all GREEN to go indications and 306 errors, Marc |

In many cases, the new Decoder Buddy is a drop in for QSI OEM decoders.
Takes about 10 minutes to get the board in place. You then have a 21-pin motherboard. (I prefer Loksound, but works with any 21-pin decoder) Thomas DeSoto, TX |

Nick and Dave,
Thank you for all the information. It has helped tremendously! I tend to prefer the SoundTraxx products so I'll take out the old decoder and update it with one of their's. Sincerely, Michael Boyle |
Ray, Ignore the __MACOSX directory. The one you was is the CTC_Tutorial.jmri directory. ?This is a complete JMRI profile. I assume your are running Windows. ?C:\Users\<username>\JMRI normally contains all of the user content. ?Your default JMRI profile, My JMRI Railroad, will normally be located here. ?Move CTC_Tutorial.jmri to C:\Users\<username>\JMRI. If you have the profile selector enabled, the new profile will show up in the profile list. ?If you have not enabled the profile selector, start PanelPro with your default profile, go to Preferences >> Config Profiles. ?Select CTC Tutorial and click on Activate. ?When you save and re-start, the tutorial profile will be opened. Note: ?If you want to use the profile selector in the future, select the Show profile selector button at the bottom of the Config Profiles screen. Sounds like the loss of power issue is a track issue, not a manufacture problem.....

Bob, our club has two MTH locomotives one is an A-B-A F unit and the other a Milwaukee Road Bi-Polar. They respond to programming with Decoder-Pro but have one feature that can't be changed. In order for the sound and lights to be active you must push F3 prior to applying power to the motor. I contacted them and they told me that they would not change that feature. At any rate they run nice but if they stop due to loss of power and then start up again they run silent until you stop and click on F3 and start it again. Hope this helps,

Re: Inverted option grayed out in turnout table
I understand there are work arounds to get the turnout behavior that we seek.? Plan A was use the inverted option.? That will not work because the option is grayed out.? I am sure there is a Plan B and a Plan C. My original question was "Why is the inverted option grayed out?"? Is it an idiosyncrasy of LCC?
