Locked Re: Max Speed with a QSI, Version 6 (Seeking enlightenment) #speedprofiling

Strangly ALL the QSI Ver 6 definitions in DecoderPro contain? Speed Table option. Even the older pre-V6 definitions contain Speed Table.

As per QSI manual : http://qsindustries.com/manuals/full%20dcc%20manual.pdf

If CV5 = 0, 1 or 255 the value used for any calculation is 255.? This also affect all? Speed Table and User Defined Speed Table.
So if you want to lower top speed, set CV5 =2 thru 255

" CV 5 sets a maximum voltage for the motor to any value between 2 and 255. A value of 0, 1, or 255 provides maximum motor voltage at maximum throttle. "

So setting CV5 =217 would apply 85% of full available power.? A value of 128 in CV5 would be 50% power.
