Re: Winlink e-mail from my mobile through my base station?
So if my base is connected to the internet, and base radio, running the repeater software, it won’t pass the message to winlink from my mobile?
disappointing.
Thanks!

Re: Drats IC 9700
David,
Here is a list of ratflectors as of Oct. 1, 2021. Note that I have VERIFIED that each of these are online. I have provided the name that I use (you can use another name if desired), but the

Re: Drats IC 9700
I've actually seen a message on one of the ratflectors.? CT1EBQ changed status to 'unatended', so at least I know it's working.

I've managed to connect to a few of the listed ratflectors, including the Alabama and Washington ones. The ones that fail, so far, are Netherlands, Worldwide (which I think was the default), Sweden

Re: Drats IC 9700
Hi John, thanks for the reply. I hadn't set up the connection. I was confused by the section "Radio" and I didn't realise it was for connecting to a ratflector as well...
I'll try a couple of the

Re: Drats IC 9700
You may be trying to connect to the default ref.d-rats.com rsatflector which is no longer in use. Check for a list of working ratflectors at dstarinfo.com.

Re: Drats IC 9700
Hi, I'm new to D-Star and D-Rats and not sure if it will be of use to me here in the UK.
I can't get D-Rats to work, I've changed the settings to the ones that Marius suggests to use the USB

Re: RS-MS1IA and D-Rats
The RS-MS1 uses an Icom specific protocol for picture exchange and just decodes the DPRS data to put it on a map.
D-Rats uses its own protocol to forward data over plain data links. That means that,

Re: Winlink e-mail from my mobile through my base station?
John,
D-RATS talks “Winlink-ese” directly to either an internet winlink server like server.winlink.org or to an RMS server over the air. To do what you want, you will have to set up an RMS

RS-MS1IA and D-Rats
Are there any functions in the RS-MS1IA app that work with D-Rats? Text? Picture Sharing? Others?
Thanks!

Re: Winlink e-mail from my mobile through my base station?
Right. I know there is a setting for using Winlink, I have sent Winlink e-mails, I just want to try to send from my mobile to my base radio, then to Winlink via telnet in DRats.
thanks!

Re: Winlink e-mail from my mobile through my base station?
Winlink does not have D-RATS in the session dropdown mode selector.
However, the D-RATS application (which is also similar to an email client) has many of the necessary ICS forms and allows similar

Sparks KK4IB:
It is my understanding (and I could be wrong) that D-Rats does not communicate directly with winlink via RF.
I don't have a signal link or similar device, so I want to use D-Rats to

Yes, The setup is correct. NO radio on location yet, so I will be doing everything from my mobile radio.
While I can conceivably just go into the hospital and use their wi-fi to send a winlink

Re: Winlink e-mail from my mobile through my base station?
Hello, I'm curious as to what the communication situation is? So, coms have
been cut off from the hospital and they need to get a winlink email sent.
You don't have a radio at the hospital yet, so you

Winlink is an email client that does NOT rely on the public internet.

Re: Winlink e-mail from my mobile through my base station?
Update: If I have D-Rats running on my computer (assuming I have figured out how to make it a ratflector), and I have the base radio also connected, can I send a winlink e-mail from my car at all? I
