D-RATS and packet
I have been able to connect D-RATS to my TS-2000 and "talk" to a packet repeater. Here "talk" means I was able to get a CQCQCQ response. However, the repeater didn't accept my connect command issued

D-RATS is not a packet program and therefore will not communicate with other packet users. The TNC is simply used as a modem to communicate with other D-RATS stations using TNCs.

Mike, I use the Debian weezy distribution on my Pi and also you should be able to use the Pi's serial port and not have to connect a USB to serial adapter. Ed, 73 KA8JMW
