got a bunch of 2GB cards fired up the 1st, required HW reset to wake up & boot seemed OK loaded a pgm - OK power cycled - watchdog & S+ errors (each time i power cycle) reboot from text console & OK

In most receivers/avr's, I have noticed you can either enable or disable control over IP within their settings. DHCP reservation or Static IP address would be ideal to maintain successful IP control.
