I too had to change the http to https.
I already had the proper station code, KBAK, in the configuration.
<WX:KBAK> macro wouldn't work.
Removed the KBAK and it works just fine now.

If I have a new computer and want to mirror the old computer Fldigi install, after I do the install, I copy over the rigs and macros folders then the frequencies.txt, fldigi.prefs files.? They are in the USER files (.fldigi.files) in windows, not sure where in Linux.? Saves a lot of setup time.? ? With the prefs files have to be careful as it is specific to old computer.? There is also a method in Windows to make "radio" specific instances of fldigi via the deskktop "shortcut" properties...? ?I have a Flex, Icom, Elecraft versions, so I don't have to fool with the setup each time I change radios on the same computer.? ?Good Luck? wb7ond

Tom,
When it says Rig not responding make sure you have the correct rig chosen from the rig description files.? Also make sure the baud rate is the same your rig is using.

Some things to try:
Selecting Hamlib. Select the radio you use and the correct port.
Go into settings and update driver for USB.? See which port is being used and select that one.
Also find a computer reset works. Sometimes Windows does not catch itself with things so a quick reset can do the difference.

Similar situation for me. I followed this procedure and install went well. When I set up my kenwood ts440 sat using the Icom 7100 the system message says ‘transceiver not responding’. Ham Radio Deluxe works fine using the same computer, radio, usb port,etc. I did 2 re-installs and also tried an earlier flrig version which controlled this rig using a different computer. No joy. Any ideas or suggestions would really be appreciated!

Tar.gz and .deb is for Linux. Unless you have Ubuntu or a Raspberry Pi Buster OS then that is for them
Download the .exe file. This is executable for Windows. Download, it will bring up a warning and ignore it, start the install and it will appear on your desktop once completed.

What do I download to install Fldigi on a new computer ,do I just use fldigi- 4.1.18_setup.exe or do I have to select some thing else from the list . I am running Windows 10,? 64 bit system.
I do not know what to use I am confused ,what is fldigi-4.1.18tar.gz , fldigi 4.1.1818x 64dmg.??
When I put it on a old computer I just pressed the big green button, but you do not recommend this action .?
I just want to get it right the first time .

Glad to hear the fix was
simple.? OS upgrade remapping is pretty much a Windows 10 issue
and I'm not sure how to work around it.
The TDW was the first event that I've worked in a long time.? My
effort was definitely casual, but I did work 125 stations with
all of the bonus stations worked at least once; final score was
10625.
The TDW gave me a chance to exercise the contest support in
fldigi.? Creating the adif upload was very simple.

In Fldigi click on Logbook, Files,New.
Choose Local Disc (C:), Users, Your User name,
Fldigi.files
logs and give it a name with .adi extension
Save.
You can go under Logbook and select open and view all of your logs files
