The Windows update probably
changed the mapping of either an audio or serial device.? Try
renaming the file fldigi_def.xml then starting fldigi.?
You will need to set up the personal, audio, and rig control.

Started seeing this problem yesterday. If I click on the desktop
icon, 3 out of 4 times FLDigi will not start. This also applies to
clicking on the .exe file in the FLDigi directory. I get no error
message and Task Manager does not show any indication of FLDigi
starting or running. About every 4th try it will start and run
with no problem.
Operated it during the 070 TDW contest this past weekend with no
trouble at all. Thinking it might have been related to the .net
upgrade to 5.07 from 5.06, I removed 5.07 and reinstalled 5.06.
This made no difference. I also uninstalled and reinstalled vers.
4.1.18 with no change, then removed and reinstalled into the
default directory (Program Files (x86), again with no change.
There was a Win 10 21H1 update on 6/9 that I'm guessing was the
problem. Before I back that update out I wanted to check here in
case others have seen this issue crop up.
Every other app on my PC starts and runs first time, every time.
It seems to be isolated to FLDigi. FLRig and FLLog both work fine.
I have available the files "stacktrace.txt" and
"network_debug.txt" that contain data from the most recent failure
in case that may be of help.
This is on a Dell Optiplex 990 with an i5-2400 CPU and 16G RAM.
