Re: Band Data Cable FTDX10 to LA-1K
UPDATE: I assembled and installed the cable from the FTDX10 to the LA-1K
and all seems well. The cable wires are extremely small and fragile and I
just didn't trust the screw-down connectors to hold

Re: Band Data Cable FTDX10 to LA-1K
Yes, I can confirm the DB-10MY cable is out-of-stock nearly everywhere. The
alternative suggestion is the best way to proceed without having that hard
to get cable. I've ordered the components (CSU-28

K9TRX:
So glad you made your own cable.... once you have the parts then it is rather simple.
Enjoy your rig and the AMP.
It is a great amp.
I also have the RFKIT RF2K-S ?amp as well.
Have fun and

Re: Band Data Cable FTDX10 to LA-1K
I cannot affirm that the cable you mention is suitable, but here is my experience. Mark at Palstar suggested the cable made for the Ameritron 1306 Solid state amp.? It is compatible with the LA-1K.?

Re: Band Data Cable FTDX10 to LA-1K
Steve,
Are you using the CT-118 with the ftdx-101 or the CT-178 which is the cable listed for the 101D/MP.

Re: Band Data/Interface cable Elecraft K4 to LA1k
Joe ...
According to the FTDX10 manual, you want an SCU-_28_ cable for connection to the LA-1K (not SCU-18).
Snip off the other end, and wire it to a break-out

Re: Band Data/Interface cable Elecraft K4 to LA1k
I plan on doing something similar with my FTDX10 to the LA-1K. The FTDX10 uses a 10-pin mini din, so I ordered a Yaesu SCU-18 cable to connect to a 9-pin solder-less terminal connector. I just have to

Re: Band Data Cable FTDX10 to LA-1K
Thanks Mike... the Linear jack shows 10 pins and the Tuner jack shows 8
pins. The link you gave has 9 pins. So, yes I'm still confused.

Re: Band Data Cable FTDX10 to LA-1K
I use one with my 101. Works good. You have to go into the menu and tell the amp that is what you are doing. You can also do away with the Keying line.

Band Data Cable FTDX10 to LA-1K
Does anyone have experience using a Yaesu FTDX10 to drive the LA-1K? Yaesu suggests using their CT-118 band data cable for their Yaesu amp. Would it also work for the LA-1K?

Re: LA-1K overdrive warning
PEP is just too high start with 15watts drive then move up. Monitor output power as you modulate the peaks. Good luck. It’s a wonderful Amp.

Re: LA-1K Max feed-through power?
No problem. I run an FTDX101MP and I turn the LA-1K off when running the Yaesu at 200 watts.
