Windows CE and FT-817
I use the Casio E-125 Cassiopeia Pocket PC every day and would love to have
software for interfacing that with the FT-817. I certainly would be willing
to meet a fair share price for the software.

Impedance "bump" Of An Elbow Connector
Elbows for "UHF" series connectors are not "constant impedance" (e.g., 50
ohms),
but then, neither are the connectors they attach to (the SO-239 and PL-258)!
They
are merely a convenience.

Greetings all,
There are Ethernet boots that fit these fine, check your local

Re: CW Filter / IRC 500 hz installation
Rich,
I think the material on page 14 is in error regarding the SSB filter.
The only time the NAR works is when Menu 38 is in CW. If you have
the SSB filter in and set #38 to CW, NAR "works" but

Re: CW Filter / IRC 500 hz installation
According to the instructions on page 14 of the manual turning
"Nar" on or off controls either the YF-122C (CW) or the YF-122S
(SSB) filter depending on which one you have installed. I don't

Hi Julio,
Yes. Menu 38 set to OFF means that you are using the stock ceramic
filter regardless if you have a CW or SSB optional filter installed.
If you have the CW

Re: CW Filter / IRC 500 hz installation
If you set fuction 38 to off I presume that will turn off the filter. Is this
correct? I guess the only reason to do that would to verify the filter is
working...

I'm surprised that so many people find this confusing. Just like any other
transceiver, you have the option to turn your narrow filter on or off (use
it or not as conditions dictate). Installing a
