Might you also have Set # 41 / RXSAVE enabled (page 59 in the manual)? Setting both RXSAVE and TXSAVE to "Off" on my radios seems to stop the flashing "SAVE" on the display screen. MW / N4MEW

Cannot turn off transmit saver mode even with menu item 53 turned off the save icon and continuously flashes during transmit. Any ideas would be appreciated

I don't remember if there is a temperature sensor in the battery pack, but if so, be sure to keep it in there to avoid overheating and a fire. Use as low a heat when soldering as possible to avoid
