Re: FT-101 Main Tuning Dial Off Frequency

Re: FT-101 Main Tuning Dial Off Frequency
Bruce, is this a FT 101zd? IIRC, I had to net the reference crystal in the counter module in my zd. I think it is accessible through a little hole in the top of the counter case after you lift the processor module. It has been a few years since I did this so the details are foggy.? 73 Don ve3ids? Re: Help needed for FT-101EE
开云体育Update: Naturally...right after I posted this thread, I went back in and did some snooping. Took out relay RL-1 for examination under a microscope and found many of the contacts welded shut and/or very carbonized and dirty.? Upon a very thorough cleaning and burnishing, everything seems back to normal - or at least back to the way it was before. To shield the bottom portion of the tube. This was not an uncommon practice.

Re: FT-101EE shield for 12BY7?
开云体育Hi Mike,No need to get a shield. ?Both of my FT101s came with a tube base that could take a shield, but neither one came with a shield.? If you had a shield that would fit in your junk box, I don’t see anything wrong with putting it on, but it isn’t necessary.?
