Files and Photos Ownership

A note about Photos Ownership:
Whoever uploads photos becomes the owner of those items even though he/she may have never actually had anything to do with their creation and original posting. For the original owner to regain control over the items here is my suggestion -
Contact the existing photo folder owner or photo owner and ask for ownership to be transferred to you as the original owner.

A note about Files Ownership:
Whoever uploads folders or files becomes the owner of those items even though he/she may have never actually had anything to do with their creation and original posting. For the Original owner to regain control over the items here is my suggestion -
1 - Create a new folder with the same name but add an asterisk (*) at the end of the folder or files name. For example an existing 6146 folder would have a 6146* folder next to it (if sorting is by Name).
2 - Copy the 6146 folder files back onto your computer.
3 - Load the 6146* folder with the files. Change the comments section as required.
4 - Ask the existing folder owner, group owner or a moderator to delete the original 6146 folder.
5 - After the 6146 folder has been deleted you can delete the * at the end of the name.
It's too bad that files owners can't be switched as easily as photos owners.

Old Yahoo Messages

Edited

Located in the Files section is a folder called 1 - Old Yahoo Messages Folder. Here are the notes with the text file in that folder -

All of the old Yahoo Messages from #1 to Nov. 30, 2019 in a txt file of 7 mb. This file should open OK using Notepad. You can also use the free Notepad++ to open it faster. Notepad++ is available here - https://notepad-plus-plus.org/ . This file was edited to remove Yahoo text formatting data. Search using the Find function. If you find any missing data please let me know as I have the original file.

Hi there
Not the digital, just the plain analogue. The converters are the internal receiver ones.

Hello Peter. Couple of questions:

1.Is the FR101 the digital readout version?
2.When you say "convertors" are they the transverters for VHF/UHF operation?

Thanks

Hi Peter
No, not really but it took me a lot of time to restore them. Includes filters, speaker, yd844 mic etc.

Was the ?100 for a transverter??

Correct serial numbers

Paul Werz

I have acquired a FT101E .and somewhat confused serial number on back is 5G 301207? ? and one on side chassis just 301452? Trying to track down the correct model early /mid /late to determine if the correct boards are installed trying to track down? a problem Iam transmitting a hum . Any help or guidance would be appreciated

Re: Correct serial numbers

Hi Paul,

Looks like your 101 was made May of 1985. So not worry with the side number, only the rear.

?

5= 85

G= May

301207 production run.

?

As far as the hum you will need to figure out if it is audio or power supply.

Remove the audio board and see if you still have a hum, if so then power supply.

?

Hope that helps.

FRL-263 DO12/04CS relay

Does anyone know where one can find a replacement for the FRL-263 DO12/04CS relay?? I know several radios including my FT-107m have these mounted on the chasis.

I’m new here

Hi everybody.

I’m new here.

I have an early vintage FT-101 (w/ spare finals), with the speaker/phone patch, FV-101 remote VFO, and the matching scope. ?Everything worked when last used (last summer). ?Non smoking house. ?I’ve had this equipment (except for the scope) since new, when I was first licensed in 1971. ?I am now to the point in my life where I need to lighten my load and pass on the good equipment and throw out the junk.

So.... ?What are these items worth? ?Are any of these items of interest to anyone here?

I am located in Newfoundland Canada.?

Graham, VO1DZA

Re: I’m new here

The oldest, early FT-101 are not nearly as popular (or desirable) as the FT-101B... and the FT-101B is not as popular (or desirable) as the FT-101E series or FT-101E-F radios with their
built in RF processor.
However, that does not mean there is no interest in the early FT-101 radios, nor does it mean they have very little value.
A near complete station, sans the scope, might be desirable to someone, as a buyer can sell off the accessories if wanted... or keep the accessories and sell off the less desirable FT-101.
So... if you are just looking to sell all your old 1970s gear and cash out, I would think the better plan is to sell each piece individually.
Do a quick search on eBay to see what completed and sold FT-101 items have sold for.... simple 15 min job to answer your questions.

Try this:
