Re: Stainless radiator pipes???
Allan, It would be interesting to know (if possible) how the coolant works its anti corrosion function, I know VW was adamant about changing it yearly which I know we never remembered to do that

Re: Stainless radiator pipes???
I think you'll be fine no matter what you use as long as you don't drive it in the ocean, and don't use seawater as coolant.....;-) Tom =====================

Another subervan running. 91 Subaru in my 85 weekender. Ron Bloomquist and I got it running this afternoon after one false start. It sounds wonderful. The waterboxer never sounded like a fine

Re: Stainless radiator pipes???
Thanks a lot to every body who replied :-) So SS sounds fine - YAY! I have acess to people who can tig and mig weld stainless and aluminium, so that should pose no problems. Sounds like all I have to

Re: 96 2.2 long block
Hi Richard, I can't completely answer your question. I can tell you a 9/94 2.2L that I have spent over 2 weeks with has some different engine connectors than a couple of 92 model 2.2L engines I

Re: Stainless radiator pipes???
In the marine environment, you'd better use some insulators if you don't want your aluminum to corrode and rupture the fitting in way of the fasteners because there's no room for the corrosion

Re: Stainless radiator pipes???
Marshall, This is very "doable", because you can remove the functioning copper, and duplicate it (or modify). In fact any obstacles you put up for yourself (like "I must have SS") make the whole

Re: Stainless radiator pipes???
In the interests of expediency, to me the following makes some sense: Quickly as possible, set the Subagon up with copper, rubber et all, and then, at your leisure, convert to SS. What I don't know

Hi, I've tried this stuff, doesn't flow or bond well, but I was trying to patch a thick trans case. Supposed to be good on thin sections you can thoroughly heat. One thing about brazing alum is that
