Re: Stainless radiator pipes???

I saw a welding product for alum that can be
done with a regular propane torch approx. 800 degrees but have no experience
with it.

Hi,

I've tried this stuff, doesn't flow or bond well, but I was trying to patch
a thick trans case. Supposed to be good on thin sections you can
thoroughly heat.
One thing about brazing alum is that the difference between 'hot enough'
and melted is damn small, and hard to detect. You don't get those dull red
brighter/cherry red signs you do from steel. Arc weld MIG by a 'pro' is
nicest.

bye, Tim
