Re: 96 2.2 long block

Hi Richard,
I can't completely answer your question. I can tell you a 9/94 2.2L that
I have spent over 2 weeks with has some different engine connectors than a
couple of 92 model 2.2L engines I have seen. It uses a 4 by 4, a 4 by 3 and
a 3 by 2 engine connectors. It also has a different throttle position sensor
that uses 3 wires not 4. The 94 engine cables exit the engine on the left
front as it sits in the vanagon. This made it easy to install the 2.2L ecu
under the rear seat. It would have been somewhat difficult to install it
behind the right wheel.

Hello fello Subs

All of the Subaru shops tell me that if I use a 1996 2.2 longblock
and 1994 harnesses, accessories, components etc.etc. that this
combination will work. IS THIS TRUE? Any information would be greatly
appreciated.
