Syncro conversion website
Well, I finally made a web page for my conversion. So far, it is
just a little story. I will add to the conversion part as soon as
possible. I have a couple rolls of film to develop first. Can

Re: Power Steering Problem
If I were to run the PS fluid back around into the pump this would add power
back to the system. After a few miles of this the PC pump would power the van
all by itself (it's Friday OK). If you left

Re: Power Steering Problem
If you can't find a shorter belt I'd just run the fluid around like Larry suggested. Getting rid of it sounds like burning bridges. Besides, if you leave the pump on, "power steering racks" will

I can't remember specifically. We figured it out by which one plumbs into the thermostat. (and then look at the kennedy diagram).
I hope this is enough to keep you moving; maybe someone else will

Re: Power Steering Problem
I don't think I want to leave the pump in place. There's got to be some loss of
power and could I run it dry? Plus I've already set the old PS pump aside for
another list member with PS on their van.

Heater pipes?
Which pipe goes to the heaters and which is the return? So far, I
haven't found anything in my Subie book. Any help is greatly

Re: Specifications for H20 Plumbing??
Hi Mark,
We did the plumbing on our 86 similar to what you are describing. We
ran copper pipes forward along the right side frame to within 6 to 8 inches
of the long plastic pipes and then used

I just took a measurement and it looks to me like around 11 inches plus or

Re: Power Steering Problem
You could just leave the PS pump in place (funtioning as an idler pulley). Personally I'd face the problem by installing a power steering rack up front.......

Hi Mike,
My vote would be.... find a shorter belt at the local FLAPS. Make sure you
get a belt with the same width and bevel as the original belt. Wrap a piece
of rope around your pulleys to
