Re: Power Steering Problem

Tom Myers

My Westy doesn't have power steering. When I put the Subaru engine in
I will remove the PS pump from the engine. Does anyone have any ideas
of of the easiest way to get a belt to fix the modified engine?
Shorter belt? Idler pulley? (note: all Legacy's came with PS). Has
anyone faced this problem yet?
You could just leave the PS pump in place (funtioning as an idler pulley). Personally I'd face the problem by installing a power steering rack up front.......
