OneDrive Information

It looks like "Unlinking" your PC will completely stop the Syncing of Data. You can find good information by Google Search on "How do I Unlink OneDrive in Windows 11". Just a FYI if anyone is interested. I hope some update does not turn this on again??? Keith, K4KAL

When I switch my radio to DATA mode ACL, returns a mode of RTTY. I want ACL to display 'DATA'. The radio returns 'MD6;' to ACL polling, which is defined as 'DATA' for the K4D. How do I get ACL to return 'DATA' instead of 'RTTY'? Thanks. -Randy, W4IFI

Fw: POTA/SOTA DXCluster

Hi All, Here is some good information from Dan, S50U. I'm not sure if Dan is on this group, so please contact him direct if you have any questions. Enjoy! 73, Scott N3FJP http://www.n3fjp.com ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý the Amateur Radio community with contesting and general logging software since 1997. 1 Peter 3 vs 15: Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect... ----- Forwarded Message ----- From: Danilo Brelih <s50u@...> Sent: Friday, May 16, 2025 at 04:28:00 AM EDT Subject: POTA/SOTA DXCluster Scott hi Maybe it would be interesting for users of your programme to improve the reception of telnet DXCluster spots for interested group of users of POTA and SOTA programme. On the S50CLX DXCluster I have implemented the integration of spots that are not part of the classical telnet DXCluster network. More in my note below. The user of your programme would thus have the possibility to select in the programme the reception of specific spots via a button, with predefined commands to be sent to the S50CLX DXCluster after a successful connection. Sorting, searching by reference ... etc is a matter of implementing such spots into N3FJP software. The idea for the buttons is: 1. POTA ONLY spots -> command executed: ACC/SPOTS INFO -POTA- 2. SOTA ONLY spots -> command executed: ACC/SPOTS INFO -SOTA- 3. BOTH POTA&SOTA spots -> command executed: ACC/SPOTS INFO -POTA- OR INFO -SOTA- 4. S50CLX CLUSTER DEFAULT (all spots) -> command executed: CLEAR/SPOTS ALL A connection via telnet protocol to S50CLX s50clx.infrax.si:41112 which is a completely free service is required to receive POTA/SOTA spots. Good luck, 73s Dan S50U ** POTA and SOTA enthusiasts! POTA (Parks On The Air) and SOTA (Summits On The Air) are internationally renowned programmes. They encourage licensed radio amateurs to operate outdoors in nature parks or on mountain peaks. Operators making contacts in parks or on summits are called activators, and the other operators who contact them are hunters. On the S50CLX telnet DXCluster I implemented the collection of spots from POTA and SOTA that are not part of the classical telnet DXCluster network (potaapp and sotawatch). Such spots are tagged with [-POTA-] and [-SOTA-] respectively. In the comment field a spot tagged as such carries: POTA: - International POTA reference number, example: SI-0831 - Mode of operation, example: CW - POTA reference name, example: Preval Vrh Ravni SOTA: - International SOTA peak reference number; example: S5/CP-002 - Mode of operation; example: SSB - SOTA summit name, altitude, points; example: Porezen, 1630m, 8 points With the right settings, the exact DX spots you want can be received and this is achieved using the filters below. To change an existing filter, simply overwrite it with a new command. Each command (BOLD formatted text) must be entered on a new line, confirm the entry by pressing ENTER. - for receiving only POTA spots, command: ACC/SPOTS INFO -POTA- - for receive only SOTA spots, command: ACC/SPOTS INFO -SOTA- - for receiving POTA and SOTA spots, command: ACC/SPOTS INFO -POTA- OR INFO -SOTA- The CLEAR/SPOTS ALL command removes all set filters and the S50CLX passes us all SOTA, POTA, DXCluster and optionally RBN (SET/SKIMMER <mode>) spots. In cases where you do not want to receive POTA and SOTA spots e.g. in a contests, use the command as the first filter before all others REJ/SPOTS 1 INFO -POTA- OR INFO -SOTA- Spot forwarding is based on the DXSpider DXCluster software validation and normalisation algorithm, rejecting duplicates spots and ensuring quality spots in the face of increasingly frequent malicious attacks on global amateur radio DXCluster network. The S50CLX DXCluster can be reached via telnet at: s50clx.infrax.si port 41112 My small contribution to the promotion of outdoor activities in POTA and SOTA hamradio programmes. :-) Spread the news, thanks 73 Danilo S50U sys S50CLX DXCluster p.s. Logging Time off in Network mode on AC log -- Work Around
Thanks for your reply Scott, and I do understand how you can include everybody's request! However, I have found what, for my needs, may be a work around. The net I call is fairly small on a local VHF repeater and on a very good day I may get five or six stations check in. It is pretty much a rag chew net that runs for an hour with stations coming and and dropping out during that time. My work around is when I enter the call in the network drop down your software enters the time on for each station when a station signs out I just type the four digit UTC time as the first thing in the comments field in the NET screen, and then "log" them to the net which transfers that entry to the main AC Log screen. At the end of net, I just go back to the Main AC log screen and edit each entry From which I can copy and paste that time off from comments to the time off field. Tested it on a test database today and was going to try it on the net, but as sometimes happens, I had no checkins today. Thanks again Scott!

I have many log entries that are dupes. The only difference is the mode PSK31 or Data. I would like to get rid of the Data entries but doing one at a time is no fun. So what is the correct way for me to delete all the dupe Data contacts automatically ? 73, Art WB4MNK I assume that I uploaded a file from another logger ???

Squooshed Fields

Hi Brian, Thanks for your e-mail. I'm sorry that you ran into trouble. I'm unable to duplicate what you have there. How were you able to get your label heights higher than your text box heights (or change them from default at all for that matter)? 73, Scott N3FJP http://www.n3fjp.com ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý the Amateur Radio community with contesting and general logging software since 1997. 1 Peter 3 vs 15: Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. The design work was done with display settings at 100% scaling and 1920x1080 resolution. The form was full screen. The first row of labels and entry fields are fine, but the second row has problems (see screen shot). For lack of a better description, the entry fields are "squooshed", i.e., too short and so all the text is not visible. I've tried moving the fields up/down, thinking that they were overlapping with the unshown "comments" entry field below. Looking at the efl file, there doesn't appear to be a way to set the height of the fields (I can understand why). Any suggestions for unsquooshing that second row? 73 and Clear Skies, Brian D. Logging Time off in Network mode on AC log

I have been calling a net twice a week using AClog, but just discoverer Net mode. Ran some testing and it would be very useful except that it does not log "time off if blank" like the main screen does. Is there anyway to make it do so? TOM WA4GIM

AC Log and WSJT-X with FT-710 and FLRIG

I've spent some time going through the N3FJPSoftwareUsers threads and can't easily find how to have an FT8 contact that was made using WSJT-X (with a Yaesu FT-710) log automatically in ACLog. Can you help? Thanks in advance and 73, Ken KN2D

ACLog Renumbering
5
Hi Everyone I am using ACLog for POTA and have 105 QSOs. I had two previous activations logged with DX4WIN. I exported those from DX4win and imported them into ACLog (with a bit of data massaging). Worked FB OM. I then sorted by date, with the latest date first. The Rec# are not sequential. Reset Counter doesn't change this. Ideas? 73 Mark K3MSB

Editing previous log entry's Comment field
4
I have ACLog set to auto fill the comments field with the contact's name and address. If I double click a previous entry and select the 'Edit' button to change the entry info, I can change every field except the Comments. I can add text to the first line of the comment, but I can't add additional lines to the comment, and as soon as I hit the enter key the window closes. It behaves pretty much the same if I try to add more comments on a new entry. AM I doing something wrong? Or is editing the Comments field no suppported? Tnx, Rick

Clicks when using ACLog

I just upgrade from an IC 7600 to an IC7610. Using the same LCU3-I-USB cable, Win 11, and downloaded the latest driver software. I just noticed that I can hear a click and see a "blip" on the Spectrum Scope when I hit the PPT in SSB mode that is in sync with the polling rate. If I change the rate, the blip also changes. This only happens in SSB. The audio blip is the same at 1 watt and 100 watts. The blip on the Spectrum scope also does not increase as power goes up. I'm polling at 19.2 and .500 sec. Any ideas as to cause ?

Appearance of entry boxes
7
The entry boxes (see below) are not uniform in appearance. Is there a way to make each box uniform? There is a gap of various dimensions between the title of the box and the entry part of the box. County and State boxes are the most apparent. It may be something in the programming of ACL. Thanks. -Randy, W4IFI

Controlling Antenna Switches and like items using UDP
2
Is there a setting for having N3FJP software (any of the contests and AC LOG) to send band data to an antenna switch for automatic control? The WA4MCM switches use UDP packets sent form software programs to determine which antenna is selected. Is this possible with the software packages?? It only needs to send the data, not receive. Edit fields/ Forms functionality within VHF, International Digital, etc logging
10
Hi Scott, I have been using the suite of N3FJP logging tools for around three years and I really like using it for my contest logging during and the log submission after the event. Having these available has been a huge help that I wont use anything else. I do have a feature request for the sub programs such as the 7QP, VHF, ARRL International Digital, 10M, etc that appears only in ACLog. This week I was shown a demonstration in ACLog that permits the customization of the fields displayed and order shown on forms. The functions under settings I was interested in using in other logging programs that seem to be in just ACLog are: Edit Fields Displayed, Position, and Tab Order Other Field Titles, and Fill Behavior¡ I bring these two customization functions up as useful inside the other logging programs such as VHF because I feel it would be good to have the option to display the frequency of the contact on the form as the contact is being made. Currently, the VHF contest form has the frequency field in the contact details, but that can only be filled in post-contact, and not easy at scale to determine whichever QSOs have a entry value of the frequency or not. Would you consider adding the settings functions (above) to future editions of VHF etc logging programs in the future so if a user wishes to fill in a field like Other, Frequency, County, they have the option to do so at the time so they may reduce post contact ¡®clean up¡¯/reconcilliation? I greatly appreciate the value of the ACLog and all the other logging program in the N3FJP Suite of logging programs and I will continue to use them in my contest activities long into the future.
