I got a new C: Drive for my desktop computer and changed to Windows 11. When I installed ACL Microsoft put the program and data in ONE DRIVE. I do not like ONE DRIVE and want to move the program and data to the C: Drive.
What is the best way to correctly move this to the C: Drive?
Thank you for your help,

Hi Paul,
Thanks for your e-mail.? ?Please do the following:
Click File > Export ADIF and save the file to your local C drive.?? Uninstall AC Log from OneDrive Disable OneDrive Install AC Log on your C drive. Click File > Import ADIF, navigate to the ADIF file and select it.
Our software has been designed with keeping your log file on your local PC or local network in mind. We have not experimented with OneDrive or other cloud provider installations, so we strongly recommend that you install the software and host your log file on your local hard drive instead of OneDrive. If you wish to turn off, disable or uninstall OneDrive, you will find Microsoft's information on that here.
Be aware that our software's settings files will be placed in your OS default path, which isn't user customizable, so you must disable OneDrive if you want them on your local hard drive.
After disabling OneDrive on our Windows 11 PCs here, we still see Windows returning OneDrive as part of the path, but have verified the local hard drive is being used.
While we recommend keeping your data on your local network, we have had good reports from users who backup their log to OneDrive. Others have reported that they also keep their primary log on OneDrive as well with good success, as long as they only run one iteration of the software at a time and they have updated their OneDrive settings to allow our software to access OneDrive. If you are planning on networking more than one PC, based on reports from other users, you should keep your log file on your local network instead of OneDrive.
Enjoy!

To transfer AC Log to a new PC, go ahead and??for AC Log, install it and then enter the password that we sent you. If you can't find your password(s), you can recover them?. From the old computer, click File > Export ADIF. Write the file to an accessible location to all PCs on your home network, or to a portable storage medium and take it to your new computer. From the new computer click File > Import ADIF and select the file.? If you would like to also transfer your customized settings, those details are?. If you would like to share your log file on both PCs simultaneously on your local area network, please see our networking information?.

? I just moved mine to new windows 11 machine. Oh My God, I hate windows 11.
I went through all the steps to turn off one drive, and for some reason it keeps getting turned on and screwing up AClog. I got a MS update today, and it turned it back on. You just can’t kill it!
We need a way for ACLog to stop installing in documents folder? That’s where AClog gets it, that may help.
I spent hours installing, importing, modifying AClog. Then One drive screws it up again.
I am on my third install now. I got smart and made a copy of it so I can copy it back to documents folder until one drive gets turned on again.

After having it hit me a few times, I figured out that one-drive doesn’t just turn itself on.? At the end of some updates there are a series of steps – QUESTIONS – asked.? Be real careful how you answer it.? Once I figured out that what they call a BACKUP really means letting one-drive take over, I have not had another issue.

Oh, I heard you… I even uninstalled it, but then that caused other problems.
I if you just click on that cloud in settings, it will go back on.? I am to the point I just keep a good back of AClog so I can recover back.
Windows 11 is getting me on some other issues, trying to find a work a round.
Since I have a brand new machine, I’m going to try and call MS and find out if there is a registry entry to stop it from going back on.

Scott and the group:
?
I got bit by OneDrive a year or more ago. I managed to get everything back to my local drive, but there is one (very) minor issue. On the LoTW screen, the "Confirmed Since" button no longer shows a date. Everything functions normally otherwise.
I've been running this way for quite some time without issues, so this is more a matter of curiosity than anything else. Re-installing didn't fix it. Any idea what might be causing this?
?
As others have pointed out, you have to read those setup screens carefully. I think that's how OneDrive got me.

M$ is very elusive when you start up a new system.? It recommends OneDrive as a? "Backup", but if there is no original left on your computer, it's not a backup, it's a relocation or just plain theft of your data.? M$ is only doing this to sell more space for all your documents, pictures and such when you run out of your "free" user space.?
?
If you see OneDrive in you address bar when you go to Documents or Pictures, then you have a problem.? Scroll up in this tread to find Scott's link on how to disconnect OneDrive from your system.? Or just specify a new folder OUTSIDE of your Documents folder when you install N3, or any new program.? Just make sure that OneDrive is NOT in the address bar.?

Craig,
Try clicking the Confirmed Since button and entering a date a year or so back (however long it has been) and let it download. This should put today's date into the button for the next time. KB5ILY
