Squooshed Fields
Hi Brian, Thanks for your e-mail.? I'm sorry that you ran into trouble. I'm unable to duplicate what you have there.? How were you able to get your label heights higher than your text box heights (or change them from default at all for that matter)? 73, Scott N3FJP 开云体育 the Amateur Radio community with contesting and general logging software since 1997. 1 Peter 3 vs 15: Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give . I've designed a custom layout for my POTA days. The design work was done with display settings at 100% scaling and 1920x1080 resolution. The form was full screen. The first row of labels and entry fields are fine, but the second row has problems (see screen shot). For lack of a better description, the entry fields are "squooshed", i.e., too short and so all the text is not visible. I've tried moving the fields up/down, thinking that they were overlapping with the unshown "comments" entry field below. Looking at the efl file, there doesn't appear to be a way to set the height of the fields (I can understand why). Any suggestions for unsquooshing that second row? 73 and Clear Skies, Brian D. Thanks for getting back. That's the great mystery: I have no idea how I managed it. What seems to have fixed it is to use "Reset to original settings" on the form to set tab order and which fields are visible. The main form after restarting had the proper field heights. Of course, my POTA activation set up was lost, but it took only 10-15 minutes to recreate it. After that, I took a look in \users\.. and found all files that had a Date Modified date equal to the time I exited the program. There were 13 files: ColorandFontSettings.xml DXSpotsColumnWidth3.xml Form1.xml frmLoTW.xml frmQRZLogBook.xml GrayLineMap.xml MainListColumnOrder2.xml MainListColumnWidth3.xml MainListColumnWidth2.xml Settings.xml Settings.bak WorldMap.xml POTA_Activation.efl The last, I presume, is the layout I created. Would it be some corruption in that file that would lead to the problem? FWIW, I have copies of those files -before- the fix, i.e., when the fields were squooshed. I can try a file compare, especially on the EFL file, to see if there are any difference. In any event, all is well in this regard, and I am ready for my attempt at 25 parks around the Four Corners area this coming Sunday-Thursday. 73 and Clear Skies, Brian D. Thanks for the update and good report Brian.? Since all is well, no need to investigate further. Yes, the .efl file is your field customization file.
