On my website, I have the technical supplement and the Illustrated Parts Breakdown for the ATAS-120A. They're not instructions, but they do give you insight to the inside and layout of the antenna.

Finally found the problem over the weekend. The "Lock" key had been pressed causing the momentary press of the Fst button to be ignored even though it was still recognised for powering tghe radio on

Check for stuck buttons on the radio and/or on the mic. It happens more than you think and will cause a few or more options to not work. Joe / AJ3O

John, If the instruction in manual page 24 fails, I would try the A=B key, then the A/B key to see what happened. As I recall the [C] is a toggle though haven't used ever on the 857D. Regards, Phil /
