MacBook OS and Failure to Transmit
20
I am fairly new to Fldigi (three years experience) and have a question. I recently upgraded my 2024 MacBook Pro to Sequoia 15.3.1 OS. Ever since the upgrade, Fldigi fails to key my radio transmitter. Messages in the ¡°transmit pane¡± are being in being sent as they appear in the "received pane", but the radio transmitter is not being keyed. My set up is as follows. MacBook Pro - Sequoia 15.3.1 OS Radio Kenwood Th-D 74 Fldigi 4.2.08 Soundcard. Digirig I am including a file, listing my configuration settings. (See below) It is important to note that prior to the latest Mac OS upgrade, Fldigi was working perfectly. Is there any information regarding this problem? Thank you! Tom Thomas M. (Tom) Fields. Perseus and WEFAX Decorers
Greetings, I have an issue with the Perseus with FLDigi an BlackCat WEFAX (the only two decoders that I have. Note the vertical interference marks showing on both decoders. However on the Perseus, there is not such interference shown in the spectrum nor the waterfall view. Both picture attached to show the Perseus is not showing the interference When I use my RSPdx and HF+ Discovery, this situation does NOT occur. I am using the same antenna for all three radios. I have tried the Perseus/decoders set with a VAC and also the signal to the PC speakers. Does anyone have any possible ideas what might be causing the vertical interference lines? By the way, I have tried powering the Perseus with a PSU from Jameco and with a USB cable. One more thing: I can not get the brightness and the other slide switches to work on the right-hand side next to the spectrum/waterfall screen. I have never notices an issue before. Regards, George

FLRIG 2.0.05 and IC-7300 PTT/Transmit problems in CW
4
#windows11
#cw
#flrig
#IC-7300
I'm in the process of learning CW, using the MorseMania app and I'm doing really well on instant character recognition, but I have 0 sending skills at the moment. I'd like to use FLRIG or FLDIGI to send CW but I'm having problems... when I use the CW Keyer in FLRIG, it doesn't trigger the IC-7300 to transmit? If I use the same application to do FSK Keyer - it works fine... And so does the "PTT" and "TUNE" button on the main FLRIG window... Anyone have experiences with FLRIG and the IC-7300 CAT PTT? Here is how I have FLRIG configured: Any and all reasonable suggestions are greatly appreciated ? 73 de KZ4JN

FLRIG 2.0.05.93 Rigcontrol with IC-7300
4
I am having problems doing CW Keying from the FLRIG program. When I go to Keyer | CW Keyer and type a message and press Send/Pause, the transmitter doesn't transmit but the software acts as if though it is (marquees the message that I typed). If I do the same but use the FSK Keyer - it DOES trigger the rig to transmit.. I have the following settings for Xcvr and PTT-Generic: Can someone help me figure this out? I am hope that fixing this - will carry over to CW working in FLDIGI as well.. Oh - while I'm at it - can you tell me - when you use FLDIGI to transmit/decode CW with the IC-7300, is your radio set to CW or LSB-D/USB-D ? Thank you!

Cannot set Port Audio
7
Greetings, I am using the latest version of FLDigi on my Win 10 desktop. I was trying to select one of my Virtual Audio Cables and I get the message shown on the attached picture. I have Restarted the computer and the message persists. How can I clear this error and select the input that I want? I have attached the screen capture and the VAC Control Panel. I would appreciate any help with this issue. Thanks, George, NJ3H Redmond, Oregon USA

Jupiter and flrig
11
#flrig
I cannot find any recent information on this and I am stumped. I have a Ten Tec Jupiter (TT-538) and am running fldigi 4.1.14 and flrig 1.3.51 on Windows 10. I have been running fldigi with no problem for 4 years, but I have never gotten flrig to work. Cat control works with other programs. The current problem I have is that flrig tells me: "Transceiver not responding" and to reset the com port. The com port is correct and available. There aren't many other options. It's a Prolific USB-Serial cable, not FTDI. Any ideas? -- 73, Lem W1LEM

New Computer

Hello, I've been using a WIN7 Toshiba Satellite for a long time. It is loaded with FLDIGI 4.0.18 and works quite well. I decided to move up to WIN10 and purchased a refurb Dell Optiplex 7010 quad core intel i7 3.4GB DDR3 ram ITB SSD running WIN10 pro. I tried using my Easy Digi by KF5INZ. Downloaded the latest config of FlDigi and not having much success interfacing with my Yaesu FTDX1200. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Just remember I'm a dinosaur stumbling along trying to figure this out. Thank you, Ron Speer W6RRS

LK on at startup

I want the LK button to be ON when I start up Fldigi. I know that a script can accomplish this task. I don't want to push the buttons to execute the script. I want the LK button ON every time I start Fldigi without having to push any other buttons. Can this be done? If so, how? Thanks. -Randy, W4IFI

IC7300 CW with FlDigi 4.2.06
6
I had it working fairly well but now, suddenly - something has happened so as my IC7300 is transmitting the tone, the radio releases the PTT , pauses and reengages the PTT and continues!? I read https://sourceforge.net/p/fldigi/wiki/IC7300_CW_howto/ and followed the instructions for using FLRIG and FLDIGI together but it's just not working like it used to. It used to trigger the transmitter and FlDigi would pulse its tones and once finished - it'd switch back to receive mode.. I don't believe I used to have to enable break-in or full break-in.. If I don't do that now - then I can HEAR the tone but it is never transmitted. Any suggestions?

All baud is 57600. 1 Stop bit RTS/CTS on RTS +12v on DTR +12 v off I tried the connection that works in Trimode RTS on DTR on Has anyone gotten their Jupiter to connect with this USB connection? Thanks -- 73, Rory Griffin W4RJG

#FLRIG 2.0.05 with IC-7300 custom command?

#flrig
I am trying to figure out how I can use FLRIGs to switch my spectrum scope between center/fixed/scroll-C and SCROLL-F mode. Has anyone figured out how to do this? According to the full manual - page 19-14, you'd use the "27" command like this: But if I send 27 0000 or 27 001, it doesn't change? Any suggestions or advice is greatly appreciated! -- Anders Georgsson KZ4JN/WSDF851

CW & RTTY with legacy rig ICOM IC720A
Please give me a hint, if I think the right way: IC 720A has a classic PTT-input (a switch at the mike) and a morse key input. It supports VOX. Here are my thoughts, how to connect them: For RTTY: - using the soundcard is simple and already working. - how do I manage the PTT? Why not use the ?VOX¡°-function, that switch the tx on, when there is a signal from the soundcard? Will that be working? But for CW: - sound RX already working fine. - how is the keying done? Does fldigi use "1000 Hz on right soundcard output¡° for CW-Keying? Is the 1000Hz-signal the signal for morse output? PTT looks quite similar to my morse key interface. When I use ?VOX¡° in CW-MODE the IC720 switches to ?send¡°. I just hit the key and transmittion starts. WrapUP: Can I manage it like this: For RTTY: Use solely the VOX-function. Nothing else. For CW: Build a 1000Hz-interface and connect it to the morse key input? I did not find an info (that I understood :-)) in 500 pages of docu. vy 73 Mike | DL1MKP

Rtty no modulation
16
hello everyone. setup: ft991a in usb. window 10. there is no rtty modulation. i searched here, in the previous messages, i browsed a lot of internet pages, also the software help. i managed to decode, to try to make it work, now the decoding is done in reverse. the radio goes into transmission in rtty mode (lsb or usb), there is only one carrier and the power comes out. in ssb mode, it does not go into transmission. for info, this radio works correctly with mmtty and 2tone. Tank you for your help. Chris F5ind
