Re: FLAMP Question: block fills from old queue ID?
Yes FLAMP can,
For transmitted files just reload the same file, but you must remember what format it was sent with, i.e. block size, compressed, file timestamp change (by moving, editing, copying), etc as these states changes will change the file HASH value. File stamp changes are caused by any process that touches said file. On the receive side there is a configure option that can save the relay files on program exit, or under the file menu you can load and save the relay files. Relay files are verbatim copies of the data received from FLDIGI. This data can not be altered (edited) as the checksum will fail upon reception. This statement is based on this version which can be found here. (version 2.2.12.04). Its an alpha version but is currently slated to be the next release. Robert |
FLAMP Question: block fills from old queue ID?
I've filled blocks and relayed blocks, but never if I had already closed flamp.
?
So, lets say I transmitted a file via flamp and someone didnt get their block fills.? Then, later after I've already closed flamp, they tell me about it.? Is there a way I can being up the same file and transmit/relay the missing blocks with the original queue ID?
?
Hope that made sense.

Re: FLRIG 2.0.04 + TS590SG, DSP Filter Selection in DATA while using "Lo/Hi" Mode
I just responded on this issue in a separate thread. You are correct. The flrig module (source code) for the 590SG is based on the earlier 590S module. The 590S did not support hi-lo filters for data modes, so the flrig module is unaware of that capability and the UI does not function as desired with respect to the filter mode and filter settings. I have good intentions to work on an update to the flrig module for the 590SG to make some changes where the SG model behaves differently than the S-model, but I haven't gotten around to it yet.? In the meantime, you can configure Command buttons to send the SL and SH commands, etc., to switch the filters between shift-width and hi-lo cut mode, and to supply your desired filter settings.? I use these on a daily basis and they work perfectly. 73 de AE4ON On Sun, Aug 18, 2024 at 4:52?PM Eric Hidle via <eric.hidle=[email protected]> wrote:

Re: FLRIG 2.0.04 + TS590SG, Meters Display no SWR or ALC
FYI, there are some features of the 590SG that are not supported by flrig.? I raised some of these concerns previously, and I believe Dave confirmed that he did not have a 590SG radio to test with, and the flrig?module was based on the earlier 590/590S module that was developed with testing performed by a friend who is now a SK.? As an example, the 590SG supports both shift-width and hi-lo filters for both data and non-data modes.? The earlier models did not support that flexibility. In those releases, data modes were limited to shift-width filters so the filter controls in the flrig UI don't necessarily work properly?for a 590SG depending on your usage. I downloaded the flrig source code, confirmed that I could compile it and build a local version, and I identified some places where some enhancements could be made, but I haven't had time to implement those changes yet.? Possibly the behavior of the meters is another area where the source code for the 590SG rig module could be enhanced or fixed. What I have done for those features that I require where the UI does not support the capabilities, is to set up Command buttons to send those command sequences.? So I have created command buttons to switch between shift-width and hi-lo filters and to set the width and the hi-lo cut values.? As soon as I have time, I plan to test some modifications to the 590SG module and will submit those for review, testing, and inclusion in the future release. There may be another solution to the meters issue. I haven't looked at those previously, but I will add that to the items I will look at when I make those improvements to the module for this rig. Possibly the parsing of the response is something that needs to be done in the rig-specific module. 73 de AE4ON On Mon, Aug 19, 2024 at 10:37?AM Eric Hidle via <eric.hidle=[email protected]> wrote:

Re: FLRIG 2.0.04 + TS590SG, Meters Display no SWR or ALC
Looking at ts590sg.cxx in the source, there do not appear to be any functions here that would read the meters via an RM; command, so I guess we just don't have that functionality for our radio. Perhaps it can be added at some point. Maybe it's tricky because the radio responds to an RM; with a string that contains responses for all three meters: RM10000;RM20000;RM30000; Which are the SWR, COMP, and ALC meters, respectively, in the unit of "number of dots on the display," which then must be converted to a value for each meter. Anyway... there we are. Eric On Mon, 19 Aug 2024 at 11:01, Eric Hidle <eric.hidle@...> wrote:

Re: FLRIG 2.0.04 + TS590SG, Meters Display no SWR or ALC
Okay so I sniffed the serial port between the PC and the radio while the SG was transmitting, and flrig does not appear to be sending any "RM;" commands to the radio, so it is basically not trying to read the meters. I did verify that all the meters were checked in the Config -> Setup -> Polling menu. Thanks Eric On Mon, 19 Aug 2024 at 10:24, Cliff via <ae5zaham=[email protected]> wrote:

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýRight, it sticks if you close flrig with it displayed, but if you close the dialog then close flrig it will not come up next time unless you go to config and request it again. At least that is the way it works here and should work.73, Cliff, AE5ZA

Re: FLRIG 2.0.04 + TS590SG, Meters Display no SWR or ALC
Cliff, If you Save Prefs, the I am glad that it sticks. You either use it or you dont. Either way you want flrig to start each time the way you use it. Re: FLRIG 2.0.04 + TS590SG, Meters Display no SWR or ALC
Hi Wayne, Close the meters dialog. Hi to Config->UI->Configuration->Dave Prefs. The dialog shouldn't appear next time you start flrig. IDD? is the PA current (drain current). I use this dialog when I'm operating remote. I also use it when local as I don't usually have them all displayed on the IC7300 screen. I can only see two at a time, and in TX you need SWR, Power and ALC. Hi Cliff, I installed 05 and I'm seeing the same behavior. Po will display but SWR and ALC don't seem to be working. Thanks Eric On Sun, 18 Aug 2024 at 22:13, Cliff via <ae5zaham=[email protected]> wrote:

FLDIGI & FT-991A Settings
Hello Gabor,
?
Great information! This got me a lot closer to getting on the air. FLRIG? is now working, and FLDIGI will activate the transmitter. However, in CW mode, all I get is continuous tone, just like with the tuning button.
?
Any ideas on what might be causing that? |

FLRIG 2.0.04 + TS590SG, DSP Filter Selection in DATA while using "Lo/Hi" Mode
When using flrig 2.0.04 with my ts-590sg, if I have the radio set to use "Lo/Hi" filter mode instead of "Width/Shift" mode in the DATA mode, flrig does not seem to know how to handle this. Has anyone else observed this or can someone else confirm this behavior?
Thanks in advance! |
