Re: Operations
Tony,
When you refer to “groups”, do you mean kernels? If so, this is an expected feature: JMRI treats a kernel of cars as one move, so one can easily end up with more cars than moves when using

Re: Layout editor
If you want it only to happen when you decide, then a route will do it. If you want it to happen every time, then use Logix.

Re: Operations
Apparently i can only set the road name and type for the engine. It only took 7 cars perhaps because it could only terminate 7. After fixing the terminal track types accepted a new build now again

Mike,
Yes. There's no point making further comments until I see that. It answers a lot of questions you can't.

Well, I completely reinstalled JMRI 4.17.7 on a Pi 4 with a fresh Raspbian image with the same results, even after disabling ipv6 both in JMRI and in my WiFi config. After startup, I still get 3000ms

Thanks Steve!
You've done great work and I want to thank you for all you've done! I used to blog under "The Basement Railroader" a while back and wrote about how to get JMRI + Sprog3 going on an RPi

Scott,
One (sort of) random suggestion is to disable the "Broadcast IPv6" for WiThrottle Server. You can do this under Preferences, WiThrottle.

Got it working. Couple of observations.
1. It seems much slower to start up new windows. I assume there is still debug code in it, since it's a test version.
2. Window position is remembered but

Charles,
Just to be safe, I would make sure that /home/cmeo/.jmri and its contents are backed up.
1. Rename /home/cmeo/JMRI to something like /home/cmeo/JMRI_4.16.
2. Download and expand

That was a good explanation.

Re: Parse Error
What version of JMRI do you have on the new Windows 10 system? If it’s not JMRI 4.17.7, try updating to that.
Otherwise, put the file where somebody can take a look at it please.

Re: transferring decoder information to another computer
If you’ve copied files from one roster/ directory to another roster/ directory, you just need to run “Recreate Roster Index” (not “Recreate Decoder Index”) to make them accessible.
