If you’ve copied files from one roster/ directory to another roster/ directory, you just need to run “Recreate Roster Index” (not “Recreate Decoder Index”) to make them accessible.

I ran into this here lately and I just would like some clarification please. I was under the assumption that all I needed to do was copy the new XML file from the roster folder of a locomotive I programmed here on my layout and send it to another computer located a few miles from my layout. I copied the XML in the "roster" file and placed it into the other computers roster file. He opens up DecoderPro and the new locomotive is not on his DecoderPro screen. We can go into the "roster" folder and the new locomotive is in there but not on the DecoderPro screen. I didn't know there is a need to go into the XML file and copy the new information in there and place it into the XML file on the other computer. Once I did that the new locomotive shows on the DecoderPro screen. Is there an easier way to take a locomotive's decoder information here and place it in another computer there? Also pardon me with using and probably mixing up file and folder The roster folder has the locomotive numbers along with the same information in a BAK.
Thanks
