If I continue editing will the username really disappear??

I've just noticed that when I edit a route, when I hit "Update" to
commit my update, the user name field is blanked!

The user name has NOT gone however, as when I quit the edit it's still there

But it's disconcerting to say the least

Phil,

You need to right click in one of the control circles. ?

You can change the circle size by using "Options -> Turnout Options -> Set Turnout Circle Size". ?The default is 4. ?I usually use 2. ?The value also controls the other circle sizes such as track segments. ?This helps in crowded areas.

Yeah, I have a blue box upper left of the slip when I go into edit mode (and I have to zoom in to see the slip in amongst all the other track segments

But what do I click on to bring up the Edit Slip window? Anywhere I click seems to just animate the turnout(s) - and right-clicking seems to think everything is "Mainline"

Is it possible to invert/reverse the animation of a switch in PanelPro?

I have a double switch which, because of the orientation, shows in?
PanelPro as the through main route being THROWN not CLOSED - which puts?
it at odds with every other turnout on my layout

It's a little difficult to explain without a double slip to point at,?
but if you imagine that one "leg" goes horizontal, and the second goes?
from 10 o'clock to 4 o'clock across horizontal. The horizontal legs are?
my main route, but are only animated that way if I THROW the respective?
switches not CLOSE them

If I reverse the turnouts, then the animation no longer matches the?
turnout positions at all

Hope this makes sense

Locked TSU2 CV223 missing in JMRI 5.8 #definitions #soundtraxx

I have been working on some of my fleet and I noticed that my Athearn Genesis MP15ACs were under the TSU2 21 pin board, but JMRI has updated to include those from factory so I redid them, and I have found that engine pitch is missing on the sounds tab. This must be an oversight and just simply missed since this is a factory function for some time.

Here is the one listed as TSU-21PNEM8 EMD-2 Diesels
?
Here is the TSU2-21PNEM8 MP15AC 3
?
I did check and update to JMRI 5.8 as well before posting. There is 4 variations of the MP15 listed, and none of them have the Prime Mover pitch.?

I disagree about wires between loco and tender. I’m in HOn3 and have many
locos with 7,8,9, or even 10 wires between locos and tender with tiny
plugs, no problems at all.

It's really nothing to do with JMRI, rather it's an issue with the decoder and your DCC system.

JMRI cannot make hardware do what it was not designed to do.

I must add that soundtraxx responded.? They said to use CV 217 to disable the BEMF.

But as far as JMRI and Decoder Pro, I still will not be able to use that for programming unless I add the motor.? Is that correct?

Let me add that I am using a Raspberry Pi 4 to run JMRI with an interface to an Arduino running DCC-EX.? Would that limit the programming of JMRI?

Hi Dan,
?
OK, I've completed your previous instructions, and have been using the program with new config and data file, and the program is now performing properly except for one problem.
?
The problem is that it will not 'build' one particular train after I have set and saved cars and loco to build the train with.? On restart the changes I made for the cars and loco for this train are still there, but it will not 'build' the train.? Should I delete this train and rebuild from scratch???
?
I am using the new data file, but I am going to keep the old data file until I have used the program for awhile just to make sure I've transferred all the data I need.

Thanks Gord

I'm guessing the UR90 message is coming from the UR92. A UR90 is infrared, the UR92 does both Infrared and Duplex radio.

Locked SetSpeedSetting script question #scripting

In the scripts when setting the speeds on the throttle, setSpeedSetting is given a fraction from 0 to 1 for the speed.

If I set the NMRA_DCC_28 command must I change the parameters to setSpeedSettings from 1 to 28?

Jerry,

I'm thinking there could be noise or other corruption on the data on
the LocoNet. But isolation is the step you need to do. Begin by
disconnecting different parts of the LocoNet and see if you can
establish a pattern of when different messages happen and narrow down
the possible areas.

On the UR9* devices, I suggest you do a set from JMRI of all of them
by setting them to make sure all of them think they are the matching
LocoNet ID, channel, group name, etc...
