Re: Wire and breaker size for 7.5HP 3 Phase Felder Shaper - NEC Code compliant
The "Prime" search returns a different model, the Q0330CP: https://www.amazon.com/Square-Schneider-Electric-QO330CP-Three-Pole/dp/B000UEAQ0A/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=qo330cp&qid=1597637727&sr=8-1

Re: Wire and breaker size for 7.5HP 3 Phase Felder Shaper - NEC Code compliant
I had ¡°prime¡± selected and the same breaker on Prime is $105. On Zoro it¡¯s $115, and one Automation Direct $90. I can wait an extra week to save $50. Sent: Saturday, August 15, 2020 8:30 AM To:

Re: Dual51 outfeed roller
well i got impatient and used bit cleaner. covered planer table and used cardboard behind roller so that cleaner does not go any where else. cut the tooth brush bristles to less than half to stiffen

Re: Looking for a used J/P with spiral cutter
Imran, I¡¯m sure you are correct and if was in production it would be a consideration. I doubt I¡¯ll ever turn the cutters on my cutter block during my time of ownership. I never did on my last

Re: Looking for a used J/P with spiral cutter
Typically it can depend on type of cut. Sometimes you have to make sacrifices for quality of cut especially as knives get duller. I know when I take 20" wide, 1/16"+ cut deep planing cut on a piece of

Re: Looking for a used J/P with spiral cutter
Bill, i am not an expert but using slow speed all the times, for example fir rough planing, can dull your knives prematurely. i would like someone to correct me if this is not true. no one has told me

Re: Looking for a used J/P with spiral cutter
My 941 has 2 speeds. I¡¯m never in a rush so slow is fine for me. Bill Belanger wrote:

Re: Looking for a used J/P with spiral cutter
Bill I don't know if the new AD941 has variable speed planing but it sure is a nice option on the AD951. I was also lucky to acquire a jointing fence from a Dual51 which allows the use of F rail

Re: Looking for a used J/P with spiral cutter
Thanks David, that¡¯s exactly what I was talking about. I have the power drive. The lower ¡°home¡± position should be a standard position. Raising the table to a specific number is fine. So I can

Re: Looking for a used J/P with spiral cutter
If you buy an AD951 or Dual51, they can be equipped with digi-drive. With that option you can command the planer table to fully lower (or go to any other absolute position) and ¡°presto¡±. David

Dual51 outfeed roller
last night i had difficulty feeding boards using the back half of the planer but no issues with feeding in the front half. the table is similarly clean. infeed roller looks good but the outfeed

Re: Looking for a used J/P with spiral cutter
Imran, in order to switch from jointer to planer the planer table must be lowered to allow the dust hood to flip. I have to push and hold the down button until it¡¯s low enough. A minor inconvenience

Re: Looking for a used J/P with spiral cutter
Bill, not following, ¡° I wish my 941 had a single button To lower the table enough to lift the top¡± when the jointer tables are lifted the planet table is already lowered. do you mean a single

Re: K975 under table dust extraction problem.
Hi David: This is a ¡°germane¡± response as probably more than some of us has had issues with the lower dust extraction hose ¡°popping off¡± just as Phil describes. Me included. Thank you for your

Re: Phase converter questions
Did they tell you what is a "qualifying voltage", or did they just ask what the voltage was? Consider the predicament that your situation creates.? Your voltage was 3.75% over nominal 240v. Felder

Re: Phase converter questions
Yes, I was just re-iterating/emphasizing that point for Bill, because it's not germane to his situation. He has a 240v supply that was a few percent over 240v at the time he measured it.

Re: Looking for a used J/P with spiral cutter
Ok, so no urgent reason to try to swap my 941 for the 51 sounds like. The 16¡± table is plenty big enough for me. I was just wondering if there might be other convenience features. I wish my 941 had

Re: Looking for a used J/P with spiral cutter
i am not sure if there are internal mechanical differences but the biggest obvious one between dual51 and ad951 is the fence. i am only familiar with dual51 and the fence is stout. imran

Re: Phase converter questions
The different transformer taps are not to accommodate normal, within-spec voltage fluctuations.? They are to accommodate the common nominal voltages of 208, 220 and 240.
