ICS adaptor board 11
I have been trying to get an ICS adaptor board to work. I presently have a repeater ( Tx and Rx modules in slot A) mounted in an M3 motherboard. I have tried every combination of jumper settings (on the ICS board) but can't get the audio to pass through an RLC-1 controller. If I use an AC-3M controller, the audio passes just fine. I have checked all the cables but can't figure it out... seemed like it should be straight forward :) Any help would be appreciated. Mike VE7SML

MT-4D RPIM Long Shot 18
I picked up some MT-4D modules for a project. But coming up with the Radio Programming Interface Module is proving a bit harder. I have scoured the files and messages here and found reference to using a Motorola RIB? Has anyone tried this? According to Fred's message the only Pins used on the DB9<>RJ45 cable that connects the module to the RPIM are Pins 1, 7 &8. Pin one is labled as LH_DATA. Pin 7 is +8.8VDC to teh RPIM and Pin8 is SB9600_Busy. I am assuming the programming speed is 9600KBPS? When I look at the block diagram I see LH_DATA and SB900_Busy are bidriectional? any ideas of logic levels. I am trying to figure out is I can make and interface to a motorola RIB, and that would work? Oh and last bit anyone have later version software for these. I have an early version. Thank you Jim

Receiver VR-4R150-00 How to program? 6
Some time ago, along with other items, I purchase several of these from a local amateur's widow. A search here, found nothing related to VR-4R, anything. Is there any programming software, out there? Or do I have some sort of, expensive doorstops? Any info appreciated! Thanks, Richard A.

MT-4 rack, turning UHF link off remotely 3
I am trying to find a way to turn off a UHF link remotely using DTMF tones. This would be in a rack containing MT-4E drop (RX, TX) and link (RX, TX) modules. The audio control card would be either a CI-RC-4L or CI-RC-4M module. After reading the manuals, I can't see a direct way to do it, so it would have to be a work around. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. tnx Mike VE7SML

MT-4 out of band operation 7
Can the MT-4 modules be forced out of band? From what I can tell there are two bands: 132- 150 mhz 150- 174 mhz Can they be forced up or down as the case may be, into the 144-148 range? tnx Mike VE7SML

MT-4E simulcast notes 2
I was hoping someone here might have some application notes about using the MT-4E modules in simulcast systems. I am working on a two site project that will be voted simulcast. Using SpectraCom 8195-14 GPSDO with PL generation (1118) for PL and 10 MHz ref. JPS Voter and UHF backhaul between sites. Convex Audio delay for adjusting audio timing. I was going through the SR-39 subrack manual and saw for Subtone I/P (C22 on the accessory connector) for the MT-4 is Secure/Clear Input for the MT-3 it is Subtone I/P. Looking for some insight here. I want the system to transmit PL. TNX Jim

UR-3 receiver audio persists with ON/OFF switch off 4
Something that I have encountered before. When I turn off the front switch on the UR-3 I still get audio coming out of the system monitor speaker and it still triggers the drop Tx. I checked the switch itself and it seems to be switching normally. I looked at the jumper list and nothing seemed to apply to this scenario. Any ideas? tnx Mike VE7SML

older MT3 TX schematic needed 4
I am working on a circa 1995 MT-3 transmitter for an APRS digipeater. the last 2 of the board number are 16. I thought it was like the later boards that I could just jumper and bypass the 600 ohm transformers with jumpers 19,20 & 22,23. however this board does not have those jumpers. I search around a bit, and I cannot find the schematic for the older MT3 transmitter. any suggestions? FYI the audio processor is a V1.6 TNX Jim

Does anyone know the parameters for a Daniels VT3 microphone or if a Kenwood, Motorola, or other microphone could be wired to a mating connector on a Daniels transmitter for testing? Thank you

MT3 COS QUESTION 2
I have an mt3 with ac3 card and ts-64 decoder. works great. COS or actally RUS goes from high, no signal, to low on receiving carrier and proper PL. This uses an RC210 arcom controller. I want to use a different controller that requires 0 volts no signal, and hi on valid carrier and PL. I can use a 2N2222 to change the RUS logic, but was wondering if there is a jumper in the AC3 to do this? Thanks -- Ramon Gandia AL7X Nome, Alaska USA
