New Ratflector 3
I would like to announce a new Ratflector. I put one on for my club, and will it be the platform where I connect two radios in order to make RF access available to mobile users. Add k3pdr.dstargateway.org, port 9000 to your radio connections. Call it PDRA (Philadelphia Digital Radio Association). Out club net is on Monday nights at 8:00PM eastern time. Voice is on REF020A and Net Control also takes check-ins via D-RATS. See you there!

worldwide ratflector 2
The Worldwide ratflector, drats.ratflector.com, seems to be down. Does anyone know if this is permanent or will it be back on the air shortly? Thanks for any input. k4pz

D-Rats Net List
Is there a list of D-Rats nets?? I started a list of selected D-Star Nets, since a lot of the nets at dstarinfo.com have out of date information (mainly because those who submitted the info in the first place, haven't submitted updates to WA4YIH). If not, I can start one...but I didn't want to start one, if there was already a list available. I know of a few nets that also use D-Rats for checkins, and some nets that are D-Rats exclusively. E-mail via D-rats 11
I need some help/guidance to get my E-mail connected toD-rats. I have read and search and have not come across anythingthat has helped. I have D-rats 0.3.3,and using both Windows 10 with an IC-7100 connected and a desktop and Windows8.1 connected with an ID-51. I can sendan E-mail from the ID-51 to the IC-7100 with no problem. When the E-mail gets into the D-rats, itdownloads it fine and then indicates that it is “forwarding to username@...”. Only the E-mail is not passed along. I have done this trying many variations onthe Outgoing setup, both with my Gmail and Bellsouth E-mail accounts . Looking in the DeBug log, [MR] Routing message for WA6QFC@... toWA6QFC@... -- Exception: -- Traceback (most recent call last): File"d_rats\msgrouting.pyo", line 504, in _run_one File"d_rats\msgrouting.pyo", line 484, in _route_message File"d_rats\msgrouting.pyo", line 413, in _route_via_email File"smtplib.pyo", line 244, in __init__ File"smtplib.pyo", line 296, in connect gaierror: (11001, 'getaddrinfo failed') I’m at a loss on this. Anyone have a new starting spot to offer??? Jerry, K4NEA

D-Rats on DMR? 5
Hi All, Are they any plans to get d-rats running over dmr data at all? I am by no means a coder but would be happy to do any testing. I am using a hytera 685 hand held radio, I can connect to the PC via data cable I see a virtual network adapter is created and a 192.168.x.y address is given (created on a hash from your DMR ID) There is also an over the air IP address in the 10.x range. Would be great if you could maybe work with Hytera as they have an apps team: Hytera Hytera This software is: ? Free of charge ? Small and simple ? Easy to configure and use ? For basic use only ? Available online for download View on www.hytera.com Preview by Yahoo Looking forward to hearing feedback soon best 73 and thanks James / W02I / M0JFP / 2e1avx

Question about d-rats.com reflectors 7
Hello Everyone, I sent Patrick a D-RATS message a bit ago on the WA7FW Ratflector but I thought I'd try the list too. It seems the ref.d-rats.com:9000 and ref.d-rats.com:9001 ratflectors down? They won't connect for me and even the server isn't pinging for me (might be expected): $ping ref.d-rats.com PING orion.danplanet.com (50.198.170.82) 56(84) bytes of data. ^CFrom 50-198-170-82-static.hfc.comcastbusiness.net (50.198.170.82) icmp_seq=3 Destination Host Unreachable From 50-198-170-82-static.hfc.comcastbusiness.net (50.198.170.82) icmp_seq=4 Destination Host Unreachable --- orion.danplanet.com ping statistics --- 4 packets transmitted, 0 received, +2 errors, 100% packet loss, time 3474ms Are those two servers operational anymore? Are there any other Internet and Dstar RF Ratflectors that are somewhat active out there? --David KI6ZHD

Setting up D-Rats on a Windows Tablet 6
I am in the process of setting up an RCA Cambio two-in-one tablet computer running Windows 10 32-bit for use with my ID-5100 mobile unit so I might be able to operate D-star and D-rats through it for Emcomm in the future. Each time I add a radio connection or do some other settings tweaking and go to save, I keep getting error messages. At this point I am telling it to ignore the error and everything seems to be working, but it is disconcerting since I want it to operate properly if I need to use it. I will be pairing this setup with a Karma myfi and hope to be able to put together a DVmega or DVap setup in the near future. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. WL2K to require passwords and secure log-ins 2
On April 15, 2016, WL2K will begin requiring passwords and secure log-ins to be able to send and receive messages through the system. Will anyone be working on an update in D-rats? Or is it just going to break that part of the system? There presently is no method to insert a WL2K password in the D-rats preferences. Cordially, Glen - KG5CEN

drats map problem 9
Hello all. I'm new to the group, thanks for the add. I have run into an issue with the map part of the drats program. I was running version 3.3 on Windows 7 and the map portion crashed. This setup had been running without a hitch for several months. When the map program crashed it took the main program down also. I deleted the install and did a fresh installation of 3.3. After the reinstall the map program would lock up the main program and then both would crash. I deleted the second install of 3.3, rebooted and installed 3.2 drats. I set the lat and long downloaded the map files, all looked normal. When I open the map program it opens and seems to work normal except the map never displays. Stations are there in the list, window looks and functions operate, just no map. I have read and researched across the internet and have not found a solution. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Jeff kb5nmb

D-RATS app? 2
Most of you folks are smarter than me, but I got to thinking the other day. Wouldn't it be neat if D-RATS could be an app on my smartphone? I haven't played with it much, but Icom does have that RS-MS1A app that works with a few D-STAR radios. Any pros or cons of such an app?

D-Star and D-Rats 14
A friend of mine is trying to set up D-Rats with our D-Star repeater so that we can send formal messages and files to stations from our EMO station. The radio's are connecting to the D-Star repeater as the radios are transmitting and we are getting connect information from the D-Star. But we cannot seem to be able to send a message to a station. We have the radio's set on CQ. Any help from someone would be nice. Thanks David VY1XY

Help - trying to setup a ratflecter 19
Our club is trying to setup a D-Rats reflector, but appear to be having some issues. We are using a computer behind a router with a Fixed IP from our internet provider. We selected Files - Tools - Network Proxy We added a port We selected Network, entered our routers wan IP as host with port 9000 and a blank password The Accept Incoming Connects box is checked We opened the 9000 port in the router for TCP. When trying to make a connection to the above configuration it times out. Are we doing this correctly? Please help.... Thank and 73 W4DUI

D-Rats Source Repository 3
Right, I understand the concept of compiled vs source. I really want the source files to see if I can recompile the latest daily build. In my opinion, there is still some work that can be done to make the windows version a little more stable. Not sure I'm the guy to do it, but it doesn't look like there's anyone else right now. - 73, Dave N4KD

Problem With D-RATS 3
I am new to this group and use to operate d-rats from time to time, but I went to get on the other day and the program just stays idle. It says I am connected to RAT but I do not see any stations populate, I try pinging all stations, nothing happens. I am thinking D-RATS is alive and well but it does not seem to be working for me anymore. I have tried this both on a linux computer and windows netbook, same results on both computers. A few of my friends also tried getting on D-RATS but to no avail. Is there something I am missing?? I am just using a TCP connection. Thanks -Cory KU1U

When was the last time D-Rats was updated? It's seem like when it stabilized no more updates came out. It would be really nice if it was possible to get working over fusion.

New Internet Based Ratflector for St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana
KG5CEN has a new ratflector operational for general use located in Slidell, St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana running on a Raspbery Pi 3. As an added feature, a regular D-rats station is running on the same computer as MAILDROP. Stations that wish to utilize the new ratflector feature can use the "Send VIA" command to leave mail at the maildrop for another station that might be off the air at the time. Messages would be delivered when the addressee came back online and connected to the St. Tammany ratflector. It also supports a shared file folder with a number of files of use to new D-rats users. Please note that the MAILDROP will only work properly if the other station also uses the same ratflector. It will also retransmit messages sent to a regular email address if you do not have a regular email account programed for use with your D-rats station. We are hoping to get a .com name for the ratflector soon and have contacted the group at www.dstarinfo.com about that. But, for now, it can be accessed as a network connection at IP address 68.185.239.93 with the port set to 9000 and no password at this time. 73, Glen - KG5CEN
