Our club is trying to setup a D-Rats reflector, but appear to be having some issues.

We are using a computer behind a router with a Fixed IP from our internet provider.

We selected Files - Tools - Network Proxy

We added a port

We selected Network, entered our routers wan IP as host with port 9000 and a blank password

The Accept Incoming Connects box is checked

We opened the 9000 port in the router for TCP.

When trying to make a connection to the above configuration it times out.

Are we doing this correctly?? Please help....

I do not see a download for something other than the D-Rats 0.3.3 and such.? Where might I find the repeater software?

Delete any devices you added to the Paths window. Check the "Accept Incoming Connections" box and click the On button. This is all you need for a basic Ratflector. Go to your router and forward port 9000 to the computer running the Ratflector. That's it. It is also a good idea to run to run an instance of the D-RATS client on the same computer as the Ratflector. First, check the "Trust Local Host" box on the Ratflector. Set up the D-RATS client with a club callsign. (It can be any eight characters, not just an Amateur Radio callsign). Go to the Radio connections and delete/disable any connections you find there. Create a new one called Local, type = network, Host address = 127.0.0.1, port 9000. This will allow anyone at the computer to monitor the Ratflector directly. In addition, it can be used as a Mailbox and file server.

I had asked Dan Smith a similar question some time ago and I got the impression that he had dealt with some very caustic people that fundamentally turned him off to Dstar in general.? It's really too bad as D-rats is not only a great application (still) but it also works beyond just D-star systems (Internet, AX.25 Packet, etc)!

I think the newest build (for windows anyway) is?

would be nice if the development was put somewhere it can be actively worked again.

We could reach out to Dan to see if he'd be willing to return the development repository.? I've been personally hoping that some new Python developers would jump in and add new features, etc. but it hasn't happened yet.? Alternatively, there are forks of it already out there such as:

Where would I find source code for any of the builds? Latest daily build preferred. I haven't had any success connecting to the dev.d-rats.com address.

Also remember that this is all python code so there is nothing to compile.? If you have all the required Python modules installed per the README, things just work.
