volume feedback from pioneer elite VSX-91TXH
cheinemann605
I am having some trouble using the volume feedback from this receiver to drive a analog gauge. With other devices, I use a lookup table in the serial i/o to drive an analog initialize, and an analog scaler. But, this unit does not respond with vol xx. Instead this receiver feeds back with :
v o l x x each character is fed back with a carriage return after it. Is there some type of counter or accumulator that could take these numbers and combine them together into a single string?? I thought of using the numeric keypad, but once 2 bits are sent, then the keypad logic would have to be reset every time. My guess is that someone has had to deal with this issue before. |
Re: Relay Speaker Switching
Sorry I missed your reply, been away for a few days, thanks very much for the info, will wire it up and give it a go!!

Re: Oppo BDP-103 no video
A couple of obvious things...
1) Make sure you're using one of the HDMI outputs on the Oppo, not the input. 2) Try both HDMI outputs on the Oppo - HDMI 2 has a less complex signal path and thus quicker HDMI handshakes. 3) Try the Oppo connected directly to a display, bypassing the HD-MD8x1 to rule out a defective Oppo. Lots of improvements. Now uses a TCP IP symbol for connection and won't throw any errors. Makes it easier to handle when and why it connects. Make sure to update the ra 2 firmware to the newest.

Re: On Site - AV2 not responding
I had a similar issue with a AV2 and the simpl+ modules that I was using from BSS would lock it every time. I could load the same program to a cp2e at work and it would work fine, both had v4.003 firmwares. That AV2 had v1 firmware when I got to it and I updated it to v4.003.

They only way I could get the AV2 to come back to life was to connect to it 232 and hold software btn and press release HW btn and keep holding the software for about 10 seconds. Initialize and restore it from command prompt. I then had to change to older BSS modules and reload the program and all was good. I think crestron changed something from the the first generation of pro/av2's to the current and the first generation does not like the simpl+ --- In Crestron@..., "RobK" <fooguy89@...> wrote:

What about text console and try init and reboot then reload current program?

I just brought my useless ReplayTV to Best Buy two weeks ago, they have recycling programs. Just need to check their website for your area.

Program by pass = tap HW-R, then hold SW-R until you see the "bypassing program!" come up in the serial console (or just wait like a minute) PS: since you have a serial console did you see ANYTHING after a HW-R...? --- In Crestron@..., "coolaiddrinker" <coolaiddrinker@...> wrote:

Also, I have tried HW-R about 2 -3 times with no success.

On Site - AV2 not responding
Hi Guys,
I am currently on a site where I tried to load a new project in AV2 that had firm rev 3.137 and system kept rebooting itself. So I performed SW-R to bypass the program and then upgraded the firmware to v4.003 but now i can't connect to the processor at all. The update was done through serial cable and trying to connect to it via serial as well. When attempting to connect to processor, i get a warning in toolbox saying "the ability requested (code = productverfiypresence) is not supported on the device. Any suggestions? TIA |

if you mean the parameters at the bottom of the touchpanel symbol its 255d. Regardless I should see the whole string in debugger if all is well correct?

The door stop option sounds like the best use for those at this point :).

I have had this sort of thing with one of these but it always seems to come back to life eventually. I think the last time I connected to it via USB, reloaded the firmware, reloaded the program and it worked. There was no science to it though.
