HZ-THSTAT SIMPL Feedback
I have a existing system with numerous CHV-THSTATs and they are starting to fail in numerous ways so we are switching them out for HZ-THSTATs. When adding them into the existing SIMPL programming most

Re: Needing Suggestions - Connecting multiple buildings with Crestron
I am working on getting others involved so have a discussion with this IT Dept (hopefully get them fired) but in the meantime. I created a Simpl+ UDP module and connected to a XSIG but on Tx side I

Was this using the module or tcp/ip client?

Some wifi solutions allow to lock a client device to a dedicated AP. Perhaps that might be a solution for this issue? Cheers, Thorsten Von: [email protected] <[email protected]> Im Auftrag von

Re: Needing Suggestions - Connecting multiple buildings with Crestron
?Changing IP/Hostnames every two months is not a security solution. ¡° Exactly! Actually, it?s pretty ridiculous and seems to be a measure coming from an IT-department that is not quite

Re: Needing Suggestions - Connecting multiple buildings with Crestron
If IT insists on changing IP and Hostname, you are pretty much stuck. Autodiscovery, as suggested by Lincoln and others is a good alternative to using IP Addressses in IP table. But, that¡¯s no help

Re: TSRs unreachable...Sort of
We have been setting up dedicated 2.4g SSIDs on each AP (Crestron-Family, Crestron-MBed, etc.) and then set each TSR to the closest AP. this way they don't roam...That has seemed to work well, though

Re: TSRs unreachable...Sort of
No I've seen this too. Also on TSW panels. The TSR remotes have the shittiest wifi connectivity. Sometimes they latch onto other access points that were once connected. No matter what you do its

Re: Global Cache
We've used all three of the iTach versions (relay, serial, IR) with VC4 and VC4-PC3 without much issue. The only problem I've experienced with the IR is the commands are kind of specific sometimes.

Re: Crestron Studio Nightmares Continue
It is possible to install an older version of Java alongside the latest one; you need to edit the FlexSDK to instruct it to use the older version, by editing the jvm.config file.
Re: DSC PowerSeries Neo
I tried your advice and started off wtih an IP address of 0.0.0.0, then later latch it to the IP address of the control panel. Still didn't work, sigh! Totally out of idea, maybe this Neo DSC control

Re: DSC PowerSeries Neo
I'm lost with what you mean by "Neo module is 4 series only?" I'm using an AP4, 4 series processor if that's what you mean? It still didn't work. There's no such thing as DSC Neo 4.x, currently it's

Chuck, What hostname are you trying to connect to? Is it fully qualitied, partially qualified, or unqualified? In text console on the processor if you testdns (that hostname) do you get a result

Re: Crestron Studio Nightmares Continue
Thanks for sharing, it helped a lot. I can only add that latest Java needs to be uninstalled from PC first, and java 8-251 32bit version is needed.

Re: Panopto remote recorder login
Crestron did in fact write the module. Tell them you need to speak to the drivers team and tell them you need to speak to Bryce Leach. He is the manager of the team.

Re: Panopto remote recorder login
It sounds like something is getting lost in the NAT. If it works for you on a regular network but not behind the NAT router, then something is getting blocked. The Panopto module is essentially doing
