Re: Oppo BDP-103 no video

A couple of obvious things...
1) Make sure you're using one of the HDMI outputs on the Oppo, not the
input.
2) Try both HDMI outputs on the Oppo - HDMI 2 has a less complex signal
path and thus quicker HDMI handshakes.
3) Try the Oppo connected directly to a display, bypassing the HD-MD8x1 to
rule out a defective Oppo.

Lots of improvements. Now uses a TCP IP symbol for connection and won't throw any errors. Makes it easier to handle when and why it connects. Make sure to update the ra 2 firmware to the newest.

Re: On Site - AV2 not responding

I had a similar issue with a AV2 and the simpl+ modules that I was using from BSS would lock it every time. I could load the same program to a cp2e at work and it would work fine, both had v4.003 firmwares. That AV2 had v1 firmware when I got to it and I updated it to v4.003.

They only way I could get the AV2 to come back to life was to connect to it 232 and hold software btn and press release HW btn and keep holding the software for about 10 seconds. Initialize and restore it from command prompt. I then had to change to older BSS modules and reload the program and all was good.

I think crestron changed something from the the first generation of pro/av2's to the current and the first generation does not like the simpl+

What about text console and try init and reboot then reload current program?

I just brought my useless ReplayTV to Best Buy two weeks ago, they have recycling programs. Just need to check their website for your area.

I sympathize with OP, I hate throwing out what was once useful and I see it as still maybe useful. It was painful when I upgraded my Replay series 5000 boxes to Tivo Series 3 HD's... I kept them for a while thinking someone might want them, but couldn't find anyone. Went to the dump. At least OP was able to transfer his license out.

Rather than put it curbside, I'd at bring it to your town's local recycling center, most towns seem to have some kind of "e-waste" container these days. If not, find a friend who has one and get him to toss it.

If you really want to try to get rid of it, try freecycle or Craiglist.

if you mean the parameters at the bottom of the touchpanel symbol its 255d. Regardless I should see the whole string in debugger if all is well correct?

This has happened on the last 2 devices I was playing with (iport and mirage server) where the serial text is truncated to 11 and 5 characters respectively in debugger. There's no logic in between the modules and the panel to screw anything up. Its a direct connection. The metadata of the playing media is always truncated. Two completely separate projects, tried MSP and characters set to 255d. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

I have had this sort of thing with one of these but it always seems to come back to life eventually. I think the last time I connected to it via USB, reloaded the firmware, reloaded the program and it worked. There was no science to it though.

As a matter of fact, that is the exact model I went to. So far they seem to be working just fine. The only issue I have with them is that they tend to create errors no matter how close you have them to the transmitter. They don't crash the system, they just create errors. Something in the handshake is not completing. Hope this helps.

Have fun,
