Re: Reasonable price range on a 3990?
On mine, I loosened the "bracket mounting bolts" and moved the drive spindle up to loosen the spindle belts.? Bolt heads were 9/16 and the nuts (under the pulley) were 11/16". Not room for a socket

Re: Drill chuck
Some of the chucks have removable shanks. You have to look at what you are

What a useful adaptor. And a wide range of other useful devices as well.
One point to be considered is how much weight and overhang are you putting
on that little 618 spindle? After getting my 6 jaw

Re: Reasonable price range on a 3990?
Thanks. An actual answer to the question that I asked. I will toss a

Re: Reasonable price range on a 3990?
You need to loosen the stud pulley bracket just under headstock, four 7/16 bolt head.
Open end wrench or socket with short extension. You will find rubber washers under lath bed feet. To water proof

I got a bunch of lathe related odds and ends at a sale , and among them is a faceplate with 1 1/2" by 10tpi, rather than the 8tpi of the other items. What lathe will this fit? Thanks.
