Re: AXA or BXA
I'm one of the one's that won't. I LOVE my BXA. No problems with using it that the original lantern post won't solve, although I haven't used the lantern post in more than 4 years. It holds 1/4 inch

Re: AXA or BXA
I¡¯m using a Yuasa AXA originally purchased new with my 3996. There are two problems with the BXA. One is that everything about it is more expensive (including additional holders which you will need

Re: AXA or BXA
I agree with GP,.if you need to save money, go with the CDCO tool post. They are nice and I have no complaints.? The holders are inexpensive also.-Jody

Re: AXA or BXA
I have an AXA from CDCO, and love it. I will say do not get rid of the lantern tool post if you have one though. The more I use my old machines, the more I realize they are best used how they were

Re: AXA or BXA
I asked this question a year and a half back, being my first lathe, and having just rebuilt it I got the answer to be AXA.? It was the choice for 12 and under. I belive you could get away with BXA

AXA or BXA
I want to switch QC tool posts for something I can easily find extra holders. Looking at the Aloris fit chart an AXA is called out for all Atlas lathes. It looks like a BXA would also fit. What size

Re: 10" tailstock on a 12" Craftsman lathe?
As I think that I mentioned earlier at least indirectly, the same 10D-603 tailstock was used on the 10¡± and 12¡± lever operated tailstocks and tailstock turrets. So actually four accessories,

Wow, a separate casting for a limited production accessory! Those were "The Good Old Days!" I have tinkered with the design of a capstan feed tailstock but with the capability of having a driven
