Actually the 6-18's are best fit with an OXA and you broad brush of "all" ignores the miriad of Franken-machines altered by mad engineer's.

People tie up an enormous amount of real estate with oversized posts in my opinion.
I have an AXA on a 1042 and I think it's overkill.

As long as the tool post adjusts to the center and you tool bit is centered i would not be concerned?

Just measure the existing bearings and then search McMaster and Grainger for a good part number. Then try Amazon.

Well, the casters that go under toolboxes and such are designed for slow, occasional movement, but for heavy loads.
