Availability in Europe (2019) ?
The fact is that for almost a year the now the FT-60E is not available anywhere in Europe. Even the largest shops (Wimo, WSPLC, Martyn&Lynch) do not carry it and neither do they offer the option to
Re: CHIRP difficulties with loading a code plug into an FT60R
Folks, Firstly, a Merry Christmas and best wishes for a happy new year to all and thank you all for your advice! Note that I believe this to be an idiosyncrasy of the software and not a driver

Re: CHIRP difficulties with loading a code plug into an FT60R
Jawdy has it right.? Roll back the drivers to 3.2.0.0 is the key.? Win10 is the devil and by trying to "help" you with a driver update, it breaks CHIRP.? Mike Mc KW4CD

Re: CHIRP difficulties with loading a code plug into an FT60R
Roll your drivers back to Prolific 3.2.0.0., if you have a Prolific chipped cable. Should work fine, then. Jardy Dawson WA7JRD Message sent through sub space hailing frequencies using the Universal

Re: CHIRP difficulties with loading a code plug into an FT60R
This is my typical Chirp workflow: * Read current settings from rig (requires setting COM port, make, model). * Archive "before" config for later use. * Make necessary changes to config. * Archive

Re: CHIRP difficulties with loading a code plug into an FT60R
Hi When. I upgraded to win10, I could not use CHIRP anymore. I had the error you describe and others not recognizing port. I tried different cords. Nope. Some folks said I needed to go back to older

Re: CHIRP difficulties with loading a code plug into an FT60R
Did you actually try to write back to the radio? While the boxes may have been grayed out, did they still show the FT-60 in the box? Jardy Dawson WA7JRD Message sent through sub space hailing

As others have said, congratulations on your ticket and welcome to amateur radio. Inasmuch as I am commenting on the FT60 venue, my advice may regarded by more than one of the members here with a

CHIRP difficulties with loading a code plug into an FT60R
I checked the previous messages (perfunctorily) and did not see a direct answer to this question so my apologies for any repetition. In attempting to modify a code plug (add frequencies) to my FT60R,

Re: How ¡®Bout the FT-65?
I have two FT60s and have used them predominantly over the last 14? years. I did buy an FT70 for digital (bought DMR first) and you¡¯re right, it is a better sound quality than the DMR. The FT70

Re: How ¡®Bout the FT-65?
Long time FT60 user, new FT70 user here. It is hard to beat the reliability, simplicity, and long battery life of the FT60. If I had to pick an HT for mission critical work (e.g. search and rescue),

Re: How ¡®Bout the FT-65?
I heard the FT-65 is made in China, (as is the Bao-Feng) whereas the FT-60 is made in Japan, FWIW.

Re: How ¡®Bout the FT-65?
Two FT-60's are considered my primary radios. They just work right, feel right, and seem almost indestructible. That said, I also picked up two VX-3's because they are so small that there is NEVER an

Re: How ¡®Bout the FT-65?
I've had a FT60 for years and its a great radio. Had a chance to compare it to my Baofeng UV82 at an event. The 60 could hear traffic the 82 was deaf to. I use mine for crossband operation all the

Re: How ¡®Bout the FT-65?
I find the FT-60 fairly easy to field-program. I like the ergonomics of the radio in my hand, better than the VX models. My personal opinion.
