Long time FT60 user, new FT70 user here.? It is hard to beat the reliability, simplicity, and long battery life of the FT60.? If I had to pick an HT for mission critical work (e.g. search and rescue), that is the one I would take.? But, I am learning to really like the FT70.? The clarity of the Fusion signals and voice quality is awesome.? Dare I say it is better digital than DMR?? Not sure, but I think it has a better sound.? I like the small size of the FT70 and find it fairly easy to use and field program too.? I hope they can address the battery life issue and sell a larger battery for it at some point.? If they do, it might end up being a replacement for my FT60 for mission critical work.
