The VX 8 is easier than the FT 60

Have a VX-5. Stays in the box. I find it too difficult to use. I prefer the FT-60.

I have a Yaesu VX-8 with every accessory known. GPS, Bluetooth installed, External headset w/ blue tooth, external microphone, preloaded repeaters in memory, RT systems disc and cable. A really rugged, water resistant, after market antenna and in great shape. It was owned by a Regional Fire Commander in the North of California.

I faced the same choice recently. For me, it came down to the FT-70 vs the FT-60. When I read consistently that the FT-70 chewed through batteries, that tipped me towards the FT-60.
