Welcome to the Digikeijs Forum.
Welcome, hope you find this forum educational and full of great ideas and feedback. This forum will be a little different. I have always had issues with forums that want the same problems asked over and over again. I hope we can build a data base of Documents, Videos, Photos, etc to help you and new users get up and running quickly with the Digikeijs products. Ask away and add the the information needed. We welcome contributors. Which Digikeijs products do I need ? 4
I wonder if you could please help me ? I have commenced construction of an HO North American railroad layout in my home. I am using Lenz DCC XpressNet for locomotive control, DCCconcepts for servo control of the turnouts (linked to the DCC), and Decoder Pro Panel Pro for the overall mimic, control and despatching of the railroad. I now wish to make a decision with regard to the block control and reverse loop control. A friend of mine suggested Digikeijs as a likely good supplier of this aspect. The layout will be on several levels connected by a helix (which I am constructing at the moment). I have attached a .pdf of the lower (staging) level of the layout and the first turn of the helix showing my intended detection blocks. I think I require Digikeijs R4088LN-CS feedback modules (which operate 16 feedback (or block detections) each) - is that correct ? In addition the Block 1 on the attached .pdf (as you can clearly see) is a reversing Y - what Digikeijs product will I require here ? In addition please could you tell me (and I am not - yet :-) - an expert) what else I would require from the Digikeijs range to integrate block detection (and probably other kinds of detection in the future) from Digikeijs with my Lenz DCC and Panel Pro ? Probably a separate Loconet bus or the like connecting the Digikeijs products to my laptop running Panel Pro ? Panel pro is already operating on my computer and communicating with my Lenz DCC system. I am not intending to use any form of automatic control of the locomotives/trains at this time. I hope you can help me. I look forward to hearing back from you. Thank you very much for your help. Cheers Alastair

JMRI and DR4024 turnout status 6
Hi. I'm looking at using Dijikeijs products with JMRI to control turnouts and signals on a new O-gauge layout. If I use a DR5000 with DR4024s to drive turnout servos (with DR4102s to handle frog polarity), does anybody know if a DR4024 will automatically feedback turnout closed/thrown status to JMRI? Ian

[Digikeijs], JMRI, Rocrail, Itrain, Walthers, Tortise, Cobalt,Switch Machine, Roco, Throttle JMRI and DR4024 turnout status 2
Ian, yes you are correct. If you need physical feedback from the turnout (to prove it actually moved), you would need a micro switch or something attached to the turnout that can trigger a sensor. Otherwise just the basic direct setup will work and display turnout status in JMRI. Ryan Sent from Mail for Windows 10

DR5000 which protocol? 4
I am currently using a Sprog 3 to control Locos and turnouts (CML DAC20) via JMRI. If I wish to change my controller to a DR5000 and upgrade to block detection later Digitrax BDL168 I would like to know the following: 1) As the CML DAC20 controls the turnout using track command S1 (Address 45), S2 (Address 46) Thrown/Closed etc. Which connection protocol do I use to send the commands via the Track connection to the CML DAC20 accessory decoder? I am assuming it would be COM(x) Xpressnet protocol. *Note:* I do not want to use LocoNet at this time. 2) At a later stage if adding detection using non Digikeijs products does the DR5000 provide LocoNet termination for the BD168 and CML DAC20 plus Railcom RailSync signal for the BDL168? DR5000 & 6pin decoders 6
Hi, Question regarding DR5000 and 6pin decoder chips, I have around 30 locos both Dapol & Farish running chips from Bachmann, Gaugemaster, ESU, Lais, Zimo etc and today I was giving all my locos a run out for the first time on my layout since it’s rebuild and since I got my 5000, I used a Dynamis Ultima before, all but 1 worked fine I have a farish class 108 DMU with a Bachman chip in the power car and a lais in the dummy, it would not run, it wasn’t being seen by the z21 app or my laptop via the 5000. We attached an Ecos system to my layout and it worked fine, we then changed the chips for ones from another unit and it worked but the chip failed when put into another loco we tried a later version of the Bachmann chip and an Esu lokpilot v4 and programmed them with the Ecos but still nothing with the DR5000, the address is 108 is there anything stopping me from using that address?

DR4088LN-CS Excellent
I am building a small automated layout with detection using Stand-Alone Loconet and NCE PowerCab Command STATION. The original plan had been to use a Digitrax BDL168. Having bought both a Digitrax PR4 and a BDL168 and spent several days building a loconet terminator it soon became apparent that this configuration was too complicated with regard to RailSync together with the lack of Command Station ground connection hich needed a pseudo ground circuit! I finally decided that a better way to go was to change to the Digikeijs DR4088LN-CS and a RR Circuits Locobuffer USB, with a Sprog3 for a Command Station. As neither of these two devices will act as a loconet terminator I also purchased a M?llehem G?rdsproduktion Loconet Terminator. Having wired it all together on a small test board the DR4088LN-CS worked first time without any problems and at less than half the cost of a BDL168 for the same number of Inputs (16). Colin

DR4018 Issues and Digikeijs website 7
I have 2 x DR4018 that refuse to work correctly when I set them to CV47=6 for 8x point motors. The units will work correctly on the first 7 points but in the 8th they both give a constant output on #15 and a low voltage output on #16 when switched that way. I have proved this by using a 2 aspect signal which displays a full red irrespective of the setting for switch #8. I have reset the unit CV8=8 several times, and confirmed it is resetting, then rest CV47=6 and the issue is always there. Another DR4018 works correctly on all ports. I have also tried using a separate 15v DC power source to isolate that possible issue. I went to the Digikeijs website to create an RMA but I get a blank white page w2hen I go to create new return :( Any suggestions how to either fix the DR4018 or to get an RMA from Digikeijs to have the units replaced/repaired? Iain

New DR4018 Documents soon. 2
There will be 2 new documents available so on the DR4018 . These documents will be in English only for the US market. Documents will have a USA flag instead of a British flag in the upper right hand corner. These documents are formatted to US Letter paper size. The first one is the DR4018 manual with grammar and translation corrections. The second document will be a DR4018 (Advanced) with more detail and all types on information on how to change or reconfigure individual outputs, etc. The second documents also be using JMRI Decoder Pro for making your changes on the DR4018. DR4018 10
Hi, need help with programming cv47 on a dr4018, I’ve followed the instructions in the manual for using the Z21 app and set up a dummy loco with address 9999, added the F0 function and then pressed the button on the 4018 got a steady red light, entered the address 9999, cv47 and set CV to 2 as I’m using it for signals, press the button to turn red light off on the 4018 but nothing happens, signals aren’t coming on for me to set them. What am I missing? cheers Andy
