It is often possible to hold square stick in a round collet.? The diagonal of a square stick 5/32 on a side is 0.2209. A little more than 13/32 =0.2188. in fact a 13/32 collet is only 0.0021 larger.? You should be able to hold your 5/32 square stock in it.?
Similarly?
1/4¡± =0.250 has a diagonal of 0.3535. ?23/64 is 0.3594. Thats just 0.0059 larger. ?
Although 64th collets are not common, 3C rounds are sometimes easier to find than square. -- Jim B

Hi folks
Does anyone have 5/32" square collet and or a 1/4" square that you
don't need? I have to make some small square head bolts for a
model I want to build.
Any help will be appreciated.

Use the Japanese Kanban method where you establish a minimum level of supplies and order whenever you hit that level.?
I have never run out of common items that?I consume regularly, by using this method. It does not require
any computers, or math, or statistics. Just define your own "low" level and order when you hit it.

Yeah I know that you're right but you know how it is when you get looking at something... realistically I'd say by this time next year I'm hoping to be looking seriously at buying.right now I'm still trying to sort out the options so I'm more aware of what I'm looking at when I'm ready.?

Don't beat yourself up. Unless you inspect it in person, there is no telling how good or bad it is. Just shrug it off and get another one when the money is there.

Price lowered on my Light 10 SB lathe. Description is the same except lathe no longer includes the live center, 1/2¡± Jacobs Chuck and knurling tool
Price now is $695. Lathe is also listed on Facebook. Located in southern WI

Has anyone else here bought that ISO22 oil from KBC Tools?
I bought a gallon last August. EEZ Products ISO22 Spindle Oil.
It had some kind of dark sediment in the bottom of the jug.
I called KBC right away. The lady I spoke with checked their other inventory, and saw the same thing.
They refunded my money right away, including shipping.
The vendor offered to drop ship a new gallon to me but I declined. I figured that something was malfunctioning in their quality process.
But KBC is great to work with; I have no problem with them.
After that, per my earlier message I started checking McMaster Carr website regularly, and when they had some available, I bought.
