Just got my issue of RS..nice write up about CSNY at Madison Sq.
Garden...saying CSNY seems to always be infused with electricity by Neil joining in. Nice comment by Stills about being adrenalized being in NYC. Nice write up indeed about the tour and how Neil appears to take the others to a higher level. Also good review about "Are You Passionate." I have only heard a few cuts off this new Neil CD, but can't wait to get my hands on it. I started to listen to it from his website, but just dont' have the cumulative time to sit and listen..oh well, its in the stores soon. |
Re: Go Flashes! (NNC)
Horn, Chris
Sorry for the non-Neil inquiry.
(if anyone wants to respond to my little question please send it to me directly, NOT to Rust - thanks) Wow, my High School mascot/nickname was/is also the Golden Flashes!the Kent State Golden Flashes!!! (Sayville HS on Long Island, New York) I never would have thought there were any others. (ours was a lightning bolt and KS looks to be a golden eagle - from the looks of the logo on their website) I'm curious, does anyone know of any other Golden Flashes associated with school mascots? Just wonderin' and again write me privately. Chris CW Cannoneer |

Can anyone help me out with a clean copy of disc 3 from the following show:
- Bridge School Benefit XIV (Neil Young Solo - friends and relatives -CSNY) 10-29-00 This is a 4 CD set and I believe it was a Rust production. On my copy of disc 3 there is a skip on track 1 around 1min 27sec I have lots of Neil and Beatles to trade in return. Would prefer a UK rustie as I need the disc as soon as possible - also saves on postage! Regards, James |
Trade shows for coverart
Jesper Kllstrm
Third time I do this, hope some people out there have good burners, I dont.
So, Id like to trade art for some of the 50+ shows I currently havent printed any artwork for, and as I dont have a printer right now... I will supply urls for the shows, only people who can print photo-quality please, there are just to many good artists out there to have their work ruined by crappy print-outs. I think a 1:1 trade is OK, anyone disagree? Let me know and Ill send my list, Ill get back to you next week! Why not Neil and Crazy Horse? Neil and Crazy Horse have put out aI agree 1000 percent, and think it makes a lot more sense that another entry for the CSNY folks. Three of those already have two entries in the Rock Hall and if the Hollies ever get in they'll all have two. Recognition for Crazy Horse well spread the wealth to some other guys who really deserve it. Hey Hippy Girl, do you know anybody at the Rock Hall who might know somebody who might know somebody who could get Crazy Horse onto the list of those to be considered? Anybody else out there able to pull any strings? RE*AC*TOR |

Changing Highways Web Site
I'm not much of a web master, but I have used some of my AOL space and
created a web page for the Changing Highways Tribute. It can be found here: I don't think it has enough space for mp3s of the songs, but I plan to keep a running list of the contributions as they arrive. Ultimately, it can be a source for the track listing and maybe even the artwork for the Trib! Remember, if you are sending a contribution, contact me and I'll give you further instructions..... Looking for info on a Non-Neil show treed on Rust waaay back (circa 1998)
Lost Optimist
Okay, this is for all you old-time Rusties...Back in 1998 (I'm pretty sure about that part), there was a fine Rustie who often taped concerts and wound up treeing a couple of Non-Neil ones on Rust. One was by the group "Lambchop" and another by "Alejandro Escovedo". I recently came across the Escovedo tape while rooting around in my old collection and enjoyed the hell out of it. Only thing is I have absolutely zero info about the show other than I'm pretty sure it took place in Florida (I say this because Alejandro makes a comment about being in Florida). Would anyone else who was on the tree know the venue and/or date of this show? If you do, I'd be eternally grateful.

Need to ID a show..//Offer of B+P
Ivan Makortoff
I think its from 1993..Neil Young with Booker T and the MG's (<--I believe)in San Fransisco.Dana Carvey does the introduction singing a spoof of After The Goldrush..Then after a minute or two of crowd noise comes Neil doing Mr Soul..
Can someone in the know give me the specifics of the show.Location/date/title/aud recording vs soundboard..Thanks. I'd like to offer this 2CD show to the first 10 newbies/burnerless folks.5 real timers and 5 digesters. Please include if you're a real timer or a digester. Those who make it will hear from me. Use "Unknown Neil" in the subject line for the B+P. Thanks. impulse buys
Mark Georg
I posted yesterday looking for feedback on the Hank Dogs. I found some web
sites that had snippets of their tunes and wound up at cdconnection.com buying the cd. Also decided to upgrade my Zuma and CAT from casette's warm, analog wow/flutter/squeal to the anonymous wall of digital perfection. Hell, Zuma's over 25 years old and CAT will be soon. I actually keep Zuma at work and throw it on every other week or so. It's kind of stretched out, and Cortez drags in spots, it'll be cool to hear the songs at the right speed again. Also picked up the live CD from The Clarks, an excellent Pittsburgh band. Mark Georg Pardon My Heart |
